Help identifying a replacement for this Armani cologne from the '80s

Hi,

I hope some of you are savvy enough to help me out with this. I want to get more of a discontinued Armani fragrance. I loved it in the '80s and years later I came across a little bottle of it on eBay. But I fear the day it will be gone...

Is there any way to get more of it, or something that smells similar?

Based on the fact that there is only one discontinued Armani fragrance from that time logged into this site's directory, I think it may be describing fragrance notes of the one I want:

And here is a picture of the bottle:

Thanks!

It is my favourite of the moment. Often to be found as minis on ebay but not in the black lines bottle like this. Big bottles are less frequently seen and go for lots but are worth it and I am probably bidding for them too, so check I'm not if you are.

You won't find anything similar as the punch comes from pre IFRA reg ingredients, but here is an article suggesting others.

Looks like your bottle is the parfum. An ebay seller is currently offering two unused bottles for sale. Not cheap, but reasonably consistent with what one would expect to pay for 30ml of parfum:

Thank you so much for the feedback, very helpful. I ended up, reluctantly, ordering this perfume 1.7 oz. bottle from eBay for $235 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_1888wt_751, Looks like seller has more as he re-listed. Better deal than the 1 oz. for $209 from http://www.ebay.com/itm/220952410785#ht_500wt_1001. Though the one I have does not show the black stripes because it is a "tester". I hope it is not fake or altered. I still have some in my 1 fl oz. perfume and when I receive the order I will compare side-by-side.

From looking at prices, it looks like perfumes are generally about 5x more expensive than eau de toilette. It is unlikely that perfume has 5x the concentration, so I wonder if EDT is not the better pragmatical value. What do you think?

Thanks!

I did get the shipment of what is supposed to be a "tester". The bottle lists 72% vol. I guess that is the alcohol, meaning a max of 28% for the aromatic oils. The perfume bottle I have (pictured above) does not have any % vol markings. I *think* it is the same thing but cannot be sure... Also, not sure if perfume at 5x price is good to get compared to EDT.

This is the one I got (looks like seller re-listed so they must have several same items)

The EDT's seem to be about £60+ ($95) over here I reckon your purchase is worth it as perfume is so much stronger.
