upgrade from polo black

Thread Starter
i think polo black smells amazing and it's incredibly versatile. The citrusy beginning, just the right amount of woods, spices and sweetness in the dry down. However, it does feel very synthetic and it lasts only about 2 hours on me.

Is there another frangrance that's very similar? Ideally something that has more natural ingredients and something longer lasting.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You always beat me to suggestions! Polo black was actually my very first fragrance (I know...), and I have stumbled on to several bottles of vintage pierre cardin PM and the similarity is definitely there, though polo black is remarkably thin, screechy and synthetic. Blech.

Here's a thought, though, OP:

Why don't you try something completely different and expand your horizons? Try a vetiver (Guerlain's Vetiver or vetiver extreme are good beginners) or a chypre (Givenchy Gentleman, Chanel Pour Monsieur) cologne.

Even the original (green bottle) Polo

Try Guerlain Homme, Carolina Herrera Chic for Men and Cartier Roadster. Or even Polo Double Black....None smell exactly like PB, but they are in the same genre and are all equally good if not better fragrances.

Guerlain homme is another good one!

I too enjoy Polo Black. I feel it lingers on really well on my skin. The other day I wore it for a business lunch and had three big sprays to the chest area and nape of neck and I could smell it all day long. Loved it. Perhaps you need to "up" the spray count to the chest area... then it sticks ever so lightly to the shirt and wears longer.
