What is the Most Masculine Perfume? ... not EDT?

Hey there,

Could you recommend me some real masculine perfume's? I want it to last long, last time I've bought "Feeling Man" by Jil Sander, it was pretty nice scent, maybe a bit too light, but really good. The problem with it was that the edt version was disappearing in just few moments so I couldn't enjoy it for longer time. Then I've bought Van Cleef & Arples in black bottle. Again EDT version only, it smelled a bit chemical to me, a bit like air re-freshener and it disappeared very quickly as well. I was using Thierry Mugler B Men too, edt as well, it stayed longer that feeling man or van cleef, I liked the scent too, but I know there's something better. There was a time I was using What about Adam by Joop, I loved that scent, it was lasting pretty long as I can remember, but also edt, so I guess it could last longer? or are all men scent EDT version?

I don't know much about fragrances but I guess perfume version is the strongest, so I think that would last longest and that's what I'm looking for. If it would be in a $100 price range it would be great too.

Most masculine perfumes are EDTs, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will not last long. It depends on the materials they use. In general, many so called powerhouses of the 70s and 80s last long. Example would be those in the Aramis range (Aramis, Aramis 900, etc.) or Chanel Antaeus. More modern long lasting ones include A*Men.

Of the few eau de parfums for men, I can think of Habit Rouge by Guerlain (which comes in all concentrations).

Thanks for the replay. I was reading reviews on Aramis, it seems like it's a scent for a bit older men than I am. I'm 22. I didn't see it in the perfume store to smell it as well.

Thanks for another recommendation.

I'm browsing basenotes .. looking at the reviews as well, I found 3 fragrances that I feel I might like... Joint By Roccobarocco, Tenere by Paco Rabanne and Imperiale Guerlain, did someone used those before? Going by the feeling I think would like to try Joint by Roccobarocco... what do you guys think

i would love to get my hand on some Tenere to test. It sounds great on paper. Guerlain Imperial is a high quality, refreshing, simple citrus type cologne. Dont know about Joint.

In my opinion the best is Amouage Epic Man

Imperiale is great, but lasts about 15 minutes.

Higher concentrations don't necessarily last longer, and if they do they may project less.

In general, what affects how long a fragrance lasts is the ingredients. Some compositions are designed with ingredients that last a lot longer.

As others have said, A*Men lasts a long time and it's in your price range. M7, Egoïste, Kouros, Knize Ten, and many Serge Lutens all have good longevity. However, it comes down to what you like.

There are a few parfum strength men's frags, but they are mostly out of your price range, and as I said, don't necessarily last longer.

If you like something that has decent longevity, spray on skin and your clothes. It will project more off skin, but last longer on clothes.

I'd go with Kouros. Althought not EDP it is strong, long lasting, and masculine as generally defined.

i think the point here is macho scent.
yes, tenere is exceptional in that sense. the dry down on me is somewhat messed and unbalanced, but it is still a great treat before that.
something cheap and very macho - agua brava by puig. does not last long though.
i highly recommend giorgio, halston z-14 and quorum - budget masterworks. i believe the second lasts longest among them. distinctive phases... a great scent.
