I bought 6:

L'Artisan Parfumeur L'Eau Du Navigateur

L'Artisan Parfumeur Dzongkha

L'ARTISAN PARFUMEUR TIMBUKTU

L'Artisan Parfumeur Passage D'Enfer

L'Artisan Parfumeur Mechant Loup

L'Artisan Parfumeur Mure Et Musc Extreme

All of them blind. Are they good and they last long?
What more should i get?

Thank you very much Daniel, these prices are out of this world. I took one Timbuktu. Many are out of stock now.

Ok guys is Timbuktu worth a blind buy!?!??!?!

Looking at your wardrobe I think that you will like it. Its one of few niche fragrances that I tried that are easy to wear. It is spicy, woody, smoky, fruity and VERY NATURAL smelling.

For me it is same type of fragrance that would guy that loves Gucci PH II wear (just without tea, and more spicy and smoky).

BTW Timbuktu (as every other Artisan fragrances) costs like 95-105 euros per 100ml on Artisan site. Buying it for 30 euro is steal for me. I would not pay 100 euros for it but it is definitely worth 50-60 atleast.
Just ordered myself Timbuktu:

1 X 3.4 oz
2 X 1.7 oz ( 2X1.7 price is almost as 1X3.4 --> and you got extra beautiful bottle for that )

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! I bought a 100 mL bottle of Timbuktu, paying just under $50 with shipping and a coupon code.

Lol. Maybe we could celebrate Day of Timbuktu when our bottles arrive.

Thanks especially for taking the time to check out and comparing to whats already in my wardrobe ordering now!!!

Just blind-bought Mechant Loup and Timbuktu 3.4 oz. If I don't like them I could always trade them for something else or gift them to someone

I think I will like them though, and it could seem it would do something in my wardrobe I don't have yet. Oh, and introducing a new brand into the collection is groovy j

Thanks for the heads up on the price! Ended up @ 100 USD for 2 x 3.4 oz and shipping to Norway. Awesome

That is insane. Just picked up Timbuktu and Mechant Loup for <$30 each. I wish Saffrant Troublant had been in stock.

Thank you!
You guys ate up all the Dzonghka.

I just hope we wont get a faked product .
Wonder why I didn't go 50 ml when buying 100% blind by the way. Oh well ... so cheap anyways (if you disregard the fact I'm a student .. hurr).

Nice choice, Brian Chambers. Just the same as me And yeah, they've eaten up all the Dzonghka :/ The only ones I found worthy (after checking some reviews and pondering my wardrobe) was Timb / Mech. Oh well - looking forward to this Fun and games.
Only thing I'd be slightly worried about would be getting an older style bottle, but I guess that isn't really a big deal.

I doubt it...for them to all of a sudden get a list of L'Artisan fragrances makes me feel as tho they have just recently jumped on the L'Artisan band wagon. Fragrancnet is a reputable online dealer so I wouldn't see them selling fakes. If so we'll all just send it back.

For a peace of mind tho maybe once all of us get our bottles we should start another thread and maybe compare pictures and speak on the product to ensure that we all got legit bottles.....
I think you'll be happy with both of those. I know the scents, and they've been on my to-buy list.

Lol. I just wondered the same thing as I did the same for myself.....$45 dollars isn't gonna make or break me tho.

Just filled my car with $43 worth of gas yesterday it'll be gone in a week....this fragrance will last forever.

Always find the silver lining.
Oh no! I think I have to get Voleur now.
navigateur out of stock
Really good deal, I just bought a 50ml of Timbuktu for $29 including shipping.
Wonder if there the old or new bottle design?
You guys... you almost got me, I had 4 in my cart and I decided against it. After resampling Timbuktu and not really feeling it, I almost bought it anyways at that price. Then realizing nothing in my cart was even on my radar for my next purchased I just closed the tab...that price was almost blinding!

Hope everyone enjoys their purchases though!
Dammit. I got there a bit late and most of the good stuff was gone. I really, really have been looking for Navegar and Vdr has been on my list for a long time, but they were both out of stock-- as was Timbuktu. Crud.

Still, this was a really good deal and I snagged some Poivre Piquant, Mure et Musc, Mure et Musc Extreme, Bois Farine, and Dzongkha. I tried to get 2 Mure et Muscs so I could give one as a gift, but there was only one left.
Lmao we bought all of the Timbuktu's......

Picture was taken in Timbuktu.....
LETS BUY THEM ALL, Ruuuurrrr.

I was thinking in another one but the rose is out of stock...Bad.
Got a small Timbuktu

BTW please update this thread if more come in stock, as there were afew others I was hoping to pick up.
My Timbuktu is shipped
I wonder how long the 20% discount code TP52C will last...
Longer than the L'Artisan Parfumeur they had in stock.

They usually have a 20% code going. You just have to look.
They seem to be all out of Timbuktu, l'Eau du Navigateur, and Dzongkha. That makes me sad, but my credit card thanks all of those who were quicker than me!

Exact same here.. it's a great price but I wouldn't ever wear any of them. I tried a few of my L'artisan carded samples last night to try to convince myself to pull the trigger and none inspired me, and the few L'Artisans I do like aren't listed for sale.
They has just increased the price
Wow, the prices just doubled.

Event $29 bottles are expensive if you didn't really want them in the first place.

The bottles are with the normal market price now.
I think they received the stock from the supplier, applyed their normal profit margin and after the huge sales theyre realized that theyre selling below the price praticed in the market.
The profit seems monstruous.
Congrats to all who got some good deals! Wished they had Al Aoudh, Piment Brulant and Havana Vanille/Vanille Absolument during the sale. My girl snagged a bottle of the Mure et Musc.. no complaints there
post #640 of 1118
I really want Batucada, but no luck, they don't have it. I'm guessing it's too new to hit discounters yet
post #641 of 1118
They are sold out of everything.

Well played by you. I almost did the same thing; I've thought about Voleur du Roses as a possibility for ages, but when it was in the cart I thought of my wish list, and VdR has never been on it...

So I did another quick search and ended up getting MH Fleurs de Sel instead. It was already a lot cheaper than I can find it here, and with the 20 percent discount an excellent deal.

I should really stop now.

Hard to know what you want when you're blind buying.
Well I went way overboard with this sale.

Nothing on my wishlist, and some were not even curiosities until last night, when I did a flurry of research to see which available L'Artisans might be worth a blind buy. So five blind buys, big bottles... yeah, I don't see this ending well.

If only they had L'Eau du Navigateur or Dzing... Those are the ones I really wanted. Or rather, at least had a passing interest (what have I done).
i was going to buy some but seems all of their fragrance have longevity issues.

Have you smelled L'Eau du Navigateur? It's smells so 80s to me. I too am curious about Dzing.

And which ones did you get?
My Voleur De Roses and Mechant Loup shipped out today. Not too shabby for 72 bucks.

Well, that makes me feel better about LEdN (I have not tried it).

I got Mechant Loup, Premier Figuier, Voleur de Roses, Poivre Piquant, and Timbuktu. The only L'Artisan I've really tried is Fou d'Absinthe, which I love (though not the strongest in my wardrobe).

The funny thing is, my skin tames almost every scent. Even Duro is just a tame little kitten on me (I use 3-4 sprays, turning on its head the argument "oh it's an extrait so 30ml will last like 100ml of EDT"). So I have to imagine L'Artisan is not the house for me. Yet here I am with five blind buys coming... I just can't pass up a good deal.

Don't believe that they are going to be as tame as you think. I don't really understand the bashing of L'Artisan's fragrances here, especially when compared to most Creeds, their longevity is pretty good.
Now, Hobbes, I think you've picked mighty good ones!
I don't find L'Eau du Navigateur so 80's: no musk, no patchouli, no oakmoss, no powerhouse. It is one of my absolute favourites, and one of the most masculine fragrances ever. You really should try it.
The same goes for Dzing! I mean, the you-should-try-it part. It's strange and compelling, very... organic.

Those of you who blind-bought Timbuktu are in for a real treat. Don't jump up and assume "fake" when you spray it on and it disappears in just a few minutes. If you have access to it, read Turin's review before the juice arrives, so you'll know what to expect. When he says that the fragrance is subtle, penetrating, and radiant - well, it's no BS - he really means it. Once you perceive the main accord on this stuff, you'll see that it's a rather heavenly woody smell that goes everywhere, and won't relent for an instant, but it *never* shouts. The stuff is also unmistakeable because of that, so no worries on fakery.

I'm pretty sure this is one of his top ten, too. Definite classic!

Great to hear, 'fumisto! I actually have bought it half-blindly, because I tried recently Dzongkha on one hand and Timbuktu on the other. I couldn't remember which was which later on, and from the notes I am (kind of) sure that it was Timbuktu that I liked very much and Dzongkha not really. Or at least I hope I got it right!
