Kenzo Homme Woody ( Boisee )

I saw this at Sephora yesterday but they had no tester. I have never heard of this. I will admit that I like many Kenzo fragrances but do not own any. Anyone have this? Impressions?

I have it and think it's pretty nice. See below:

I like it, too. I think I may wear it today!

It's a very nice fresh scent. But, fresh in a way that I can tolerate, because it's not a detergent type of fresh. It's fresh like being outdoors in the brush of an island environment. Is it the bamboo that gives me this impression? There is a touch of banana peel vibe, too. I think I'll wear it to work tomorrow, since the weather is warming up.

It's good and woody. My only experience with it is from spraying it on and walking around smelling it for a good half hour deciding if I should go back and buy it. If it were up to me I would have bought it, but, my wife didn't like it so much, so I had to pass. For what it's worth, from a guy perspective, it's a great scent, from a feminine perspective, my wife's, it's not so great. I don't know what other women have thought about it though.

I wore it today (nice day, warming up, 40's and sunny) and it was great! I like that is has just a tiny touch of mint, along with the really airy vetiver that Kenzo Homme is always known for.

My wife thinks it's nice - nothing spectacular for her, but nice. I go through phases of wearing it frequently for a few weeks and then setting it aside.

A great citrus/vetiver combo with a hit of mint in the opening. One of the few scents by Olivier Polge that I actually like, probably because it's one of the few scents by him that doesn't have a plastic accord running through it!

It's a light, more wearable version of Encre Noire, IMO. There seems to be a little citrus and violet up front, and over time the EN base emerges, though it's softer (probably less iso e super as well).

I found it to be another yawner. Not anything that interested me in the least.

Definitely a scent worth looking into, way less generic and popularly appealing than Kenzo.

It's a really nice, light woody scent. Absolutely worth a try and actually safe enough for a blind buy. IIRC the 30ml was pretty cheap and would give a good amount of tests...

I like it a lot. Opens with a striking transparent incense brightened with a hint of mint and dries down to a slightly powdery yet fresh wood.

So...funny thing. This past Saturday my wife and I were testing out some frags. We tested a lot of Creeds and a few Jo Malones. I like Creed Santal Imperial and I was debating picking it up. I sprayed it on my arm and went on my way to walk around for a while to see how it developed...on my way out of Nordstroms I saw the Jo Malone line and I had never tried out Vetiver Cologne, so I sprayed in on the other arm and we left. I really liked the Jo Malone Vetiver and so we came back after 30 min or so and picked up some samples of Santal Imperial and Vetiver Cologne.

Ok, sorry for the long explanation. Anyway, then we went to another frag store and I just sprayed some Kenzo Woody on a test strip and we left to travel our 2 hours home. I smelled the test strip as we got in the car and I was surprised because Kenzo Woody smelled almost exactly like Santal Imperial mixed with Vetiver. It really shocked me. When we got back home I sprayed a little Santal Imperial and Vetiver Cologne on a piece of paper, and, there it was-Kenzo Woody, only a little creamier.

So, what's the point of my story? Kenzo Woody is a great scent...I liked it before but now that I feel like my nose has been refined a little, I like it even more. It's weird that it is a combination of 2 "higher-end" frags. So, I say, if you like both the Vetiver and Santal Imperial than save yourself about $250 bucks and go for Kenzo Woody, you won't be disappointed. Just so you know, my wife smelled it on the test strip and said that it smelled like the two I had tried mixed together, before I was even able to tell her...so there are 2 noses that agree.

Yes, they did a good job with this one, even though I'm not a fan of the idea.

It's synthetic. Not my favorite Kenzo.
