New Fragrance: Cartier Roadster Sport Speedometer

Thread Starter
From fragrantica.com:

At the beginning of 2012 Cartier launched a limited edition of their fragrance for men, Roadster. The name of the new edition is Cartier Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition, available in the characteristic flacon shaped like Roadster fragrance 2008, Roadster Sport from 2009 or Roadster Black from 2010.

The new flacon of Cartier Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition contains an illustration of a speedometer reflecting dynamics, freedom and sensation. The speed and adrenaline of this composition are reflected by citruses, spices and precious woody notes. Top notes of this edition are enriched with luminous freshness provided by bergamot, lime and tangerine. The heart is softened with aromatic herbs sage and rosemary enriched with powerful black pepper, while the base of the composition hides woody notes of patchouli and Guaiac wood.

Cartier Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition
bergamot, lime, tangerine
sage, rosemary, pepper
Guaiac wood, patchouli

Roadster Sport Speedometer Limited Edition is available exclusively at Bloomingdales, in 100 ml EDT flacons at a price of $100.

Winner: Most Awkward Flanker Name. I might be interested in the juice, but I can't imagine actually referring to it by name. Bring back the simple names, like L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Extreme.

Will check it out next time I'm in Bloomies

Sounds interesting enough, wonder if it will find it's way into wider distribution. I'm assuming the mint has been dropped from the top (not that I have a problem with the original). I found the back end of the original a bit lacklustre, sort of generic woods. I guess it comes down to budget, if Cartier have decided to spend enough to keep it on it's feet for the duration.

Cartier Roadster!!! Another Flanker? Wow!!! I'm not so sure about this!!!

Isn't this the same juice as the regular Roadster Sport in a limited edition bottle? (same thing they did with the Roadster Black bottle of regular Roadster a year or so ago).

The only note this one has in common with Roadster is the patchouli.

Not the original Roadster, I was talking about Roadster Sport that was released as a flanker in 2009. According to fragrantica, the notes are the same.

I stand corrected. They had Roadster in a black bottle if I recall as well.

That may be the worst name/bottle combo in history.

Yeah, I know there was some debate awhile back in a thread, but I'm pretty sure everyone decided that the limited edition Roadster Black was just the regular Roadster juice in a different bottle. Looks like they're doing the same thing with Roadster Sport now. (I guess the limited design bottles are for collecting).

The original bottle was sleek and automobile-inspired. This new edition is just plain silly.

It is available in Russia and is just Roadster Sport in a new bottle.

At least, conceptually simple!

Love the original bottle.

This is just tacky.
Speedometer blah blah Limited blah? They should've used a cruise control symbol on the bottle
