Paul Smith London

Hey all, I am hoping this isn't something which has been reposted many times before... I recently found my bottle of Paul Smith London which I had hidden away because the atomizer stopped working, fortunately I was able to salvage the remaining few applications. Now in looking to buy a replacement, it appears that this one has long been discontinued, as on eBay it's incredibly expensive, and it's not available on Paul Smith's website. Please tell me I am not looking hard enough and this one is still available...

I could tell you that, but I'd be lying...

It's available in the UK.

Any chance I could buy it online and ship it to the US in that case?

I'd assume that they'd ship to the USA. E.g. Cheapsmells would be an option

It's been a while since I've seen it stateside.

I'd seek out the original rather than the more recent UK relaunch version if you're a real fan.........

it was reformulated? That makes sense. It sounded like something I would like but I was very underwhelmed when I tested it recently.
Haven't found a scent I really like yet from Paul Smith.
Love his shirts and cardigans though.

There's a difference IMO, yes, and I own both original & relaunch versions. It's more to do with all-round potency/sillage, which was massive in the original.

And yes, I'd agree he's better for clothes & accesories than for frags! London excepted.......

Sorry to be problematic... how do you differentiate the original from the reformulation? I'm wondering which one I have (it smells great, so no worries there; just thinking about buying another bottle and wouldn't want a watered down or less intense scent to the one that I have)

The reformulated ones only came in the 30ml size, this I know for sure.
I think the original ones only came in 50ml/100ml though I could be wrong on this point.

I think you're right about that.

I wore this the other day after not wearing it for a while; I liked it. There's something nice about that coconut and brandy interplay.

Spot on. I don't recall whether the original came in this size or not, but the relaunch was definitely only in this size.

The original, at least the 50/100ml sizes, came in heavy duty, cylindrical packaging, whereas the relaunch was a more straightforward thin cardboard box.

Thanks for this; I actually have the reformulated version and find it quite potent, so all is well!

Sillage and projection are pretty massive when it comes to the 30ml. This stuff lasts for a week on e.g. a jacket, overpowering other scents, almost annoyingly so.

I've got a 30 ml decant that I'd be willing to part with...pm me and we can talk. I think it's been sprayed 3 times.

Actually, it seems that the original issue came in 30ml too, as I recently acquired a sealed 30ml bottle in the original, cylindrical packaging....

Violets smelling like coconut. A metrosexual scent with amazig longevity and presence, ideal for a clubbing night. I have to go easy with the trigger at the sake of beig singnalled as the cologe guy.

I am glad you mention this. I recently contacted the Paul Smith headquarter in London and was told that the fragrance has not been re~launched, that the 30ml bottles were old stock ~ the last remaining stock, which is currently being sold at various outlets.
