Lolita Lempika Masculine and Rochas Man

Which of these two gourmand fragrances has the better...

1) Overall scent
2) Projection
3) Longevity
4) Versatility

I'd really like to try these two, but I don't know of any local retailer that stocks them! Let me know if they are a worthy purchase. Thanks.

I think I'm in the minority for liking LLaM more than Rochas. Both very good scents but I just like LLaM a bit better.

Interesting, I've heard that Rochas doesn't have great longevity/projection. I guess it depends on the individual. Do you guys think either of these are sickly sweet or overly sweet?

Lempicka has a slight edge in all 4 categories IMO, but they are pretty comparable in that respect. LL is anise (black licorice) heavy, while Rochas is more of a chocolate mocha gourmand. If you're not a fan of black licorice go with Rochas.

I give the nod to Lolita, in all categories. More distinctive scent, and I get excellent longevity and projection with it.

I like Rochas just a little bit better due to the licorice in LLAM (which is fine when your in the mood).

3)Both are a bit above average
4)Lolita

If I had to choose one to buy I would buy Lolita. I like the way it smells more. Although Rochas is not as versatile, imo it would be a bigger crowd pleaser.

Lolita all the way!!!

Rochas is alright at best. Fragrances last forever on me, but rochas has terrible longevity and projection. LLaM on the other hand is just amazing in every way possible. Especially with that magical drydown

For those interested in sampling Lolita, scented monkey usually has samples of their scents for $3, with shipping included. That's where I sampled Lolita, which I immediately loved and purchased.

To me both are similar in terms of projection and longevity.

I guess it all comes down to what you prefer: Licorice and Anise or Coffee and lavender.

rochas was too thick and cloying for the first two hours when i sprayed on neck. LLAM lasts all day like le male

1) Overall scent: LLaM. The straight up sugary sweetness in Rochas Man smells quite flat and annoying to me after a while

2 & 3) Projection & Longevity: LLaM.
However, I think the juice is some how diluted when it comes to the US. I have a tester of LLaM and it has monster Projection & Longevity. However, I've heard people complaint a lot about the lack of Projection & Longevity in LLaM. The limited edition I've bought from fragrancenet also lacks in Projection & Longevity. I've also experienced the differences in Projection & Longevity of L de Lolita Lempicka between the ones bought in US and Vietnam. The one bought in US is much weaker. However, the US version of LLaM still stronger and last longer than Rochas Man

4) Versatility: Rochas Man, since after the bombastic top, it quiet down to a skin scent

I love Rochas Man and dont like LLaM. LLaM is sweet in a way that I dont like.

Personally, I find Rochas more comfortable and relaxing to wear but I do have both.

Not very similar at all IMO.

A*Men shoves the tar note too far in my face to truly enjoy while Rochas has a creamier drydown that is smooth.

Awesome, I might pick both up to be honest. I was kind of hoping for a landslide vote in this thread to make my decision easier, but it's pretty even so far. Both seem to be very likable fragrances.

I ordered LLaM a few days ago; just waiting for it to arrive. Tried it in a department store in my town, and it smells great.

I have both.
I much prefer Lolilita Lempicka. Rochas Man I find to be a tad feminish for my taste.
