Between these six legendary "powerhouse" scents, which one is your favorit, and why? 2 weeks ago I would wote for Santos concentree, but at the moment Antaeus has passed by it (with a teeny-weeny margin), as my favourite "powerhouse" .

van cleef and arpels pour homme

From the list, Antaeus, off course

Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme fo' shizzle.

It has to be the Cartier.

I like Antaeus, I really do, but the Cartier just knocks it's socks off, literally and figuratively.

I've worn Santos (the watch AND the fragrance) and I've worn Antaeus, but it's the Cartier that's always garnered compliments.

Used to wear Tsar many years ago, but just tried Antaeus and prefer it.

1) VC&A PH
2) Antaeus

Antaeus

From the list Quorum.

Santos Concentree is the only one I like out of this bunch of behemoths.

Antaeus by a loooooooong way
Antaeus.
Cartier, then Antaeus.
I'm quite fond of all of them (with the exception of Santos), but Antaeus has a special place for me.

I hate Antaeus. It smells disgusting to me.

But Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme is a near-perfect cologne -- to me it smells just as a man should smell, after he's done with the frivolousness of youth.

Tsar is a legendary powerhouse?
I have a bottle of it from 12 years ago, and it whimps out after about 4 hours.

The current rendition of Tsar is weak. I like all of the others. VC&A is the best, but I slightly prefer Antaeus.

Voted Antaeus! That one brings back some special memories for me. Still enjoy it today. Although i would have picked Christian Dior Jules if that had been in the list.

Santos & VC&A. Antaeus is a contestant too. The others are great, apart from the Bijan, which I couldn't quite enjoy.
Antaeus. It's strong, smooth and refined.
Vintage: I voted for Bijan, but Antaeus can be considered right next to it. Please do understand that the reformulations are not similar to what they used to be.
Close combat for the top spot between Antaeus and Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme
post #24 of 46
Antaeus for me!!!

Tsar when it was the original version.
Antaeus seems to stand out from that list.
Santos is my pick. I agree the current Tsar is a whuss of a frag.
This is problematic because not only have many of us not tried them all but I suspect very few have tried all of them in their vintage form. For me, the difference is between the original and the reformulations (if there were any). Otherwise, it's just a matter of rotating them, not really liking one more than another. However, there are some I don't like. For example, I find Santos to be too sweet (unbalanced), and it gets irritating fairly quickly.

Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme

When I started this post I was quite sure Antaeus was going to win, but I hadn`t thought it would win with that big margin! I`m also a bit surprised that Santos Concentree hasn`t got more votes.
I'll be frank i voted Antaeus because that's the one I most recently re-tried.

The others I am vaguely familiar with.

Mostly because, you know , I was around 6 years old in the 80s.
Seeing Van Cleef & Arpels Pour homme get the snot kicked out of it makes me sad It seems so wrong to have it in the same league as Quorum and Bijan.
I voted for Antaeus. But They're all good.
Some great oldies there, including three of my favourites - Quorum (older formulation), VCA and Antaeus. A few months ago I would have said VCA, but have found a new love and admiration for Antaeus and it would be my choice now.
I wish I could have chosen two, because I really like both Antaeus and Quorum (even the current tamed version of Quorum.)
Santos Concentree.
It both scares and attracts people around you. Pure magic. No jokes.
I voted for Kouros.
I'm an exception here: I like too much the greeny of Tsar.
Antaeus
Havana
Van Cleef & Arpel ph
Oscar de la Renta PL Dark green
Kouros
Polo Green
Quorum

Santos.......
