Any takers?

Genie Jeanie,
Is The Beat still available? If so, would you say that the spiced cedar is prominent?
Thanks, Schilling

Hi Schilling!
There are definitely spiced cedar notes, but I get a lot of tea & some citrus as well. Very easy wear & would be great for Spring! Care to give it a go??

I'd love to, thank you! Please look through my meek wardrobe and see if there's anything you'd like to try. I'll PM my address.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

In the mood of Spring Cleaning, and for tomorrow's Vernal Equinox I am going to unload some 10 fragrances that are being often neglected here. Perhaps, they will get more love from you guys.

They will be addressed by me, but will be in the names of the donors from FFF! They will probably go out on Thursday.

Will ship everywhere, might take time with all of them restrictions and prices. Choose as many as you please. Must have your address on file from previous transactions before this post (to avoid very new people). In alphabetical order, all have caps except Ungaro.

-- Annick Goutal Ce Soir Ou Jamais, EdT, 25 of 50ml, no box -- taken;
-- Aubusson Histoire d'Amour 2 EdT, 35 of 50ml, no box -- taken;
-- Avon Sweet Honesty Cologne LE Peek-a-Mouse Christmas 1987, splash, 32 of 35ml, box;
-- Hermes Osmanthe Yunan EdT, 13 of 15 ml, pouch -- taken;
-- Jai Ose (not Guy Laroche) Jai Ose EdP, 28 of 30ml, box -- taken;
-- Nanette Lepore Nanette EdP, 23 of 30ml, box (a bit scratched on the side, plus the klutz that I am I drop it all the time since it opens up just like Ferre EdP) -- taken;
-- Parfums Berdoues Violettes de Toulouse EdT, 60 of 110ml, no box -- taken;
-- Parfums Berdoues Violettes de Toulouse EdP Empty Bottle with pretty bulb sprayer or/and cap (please do not laugh, one might be surprised we had once a well-established BNer with a fine collection of fragrances who wished for an empty bottle from another house though), no box -- taken;
-- Provence Sante Vetyver EdT, 52 of 100ml, no box -- taken;
-- The Perfumers's Workshop Ltd. Tea Rose, EdT, 117 of 120ml, box -- taken;
-- The Vermont Country Store (not Faberge) Woodhue Cologne, splash, 78 of 80ml, no box -- taken;
-- Emanuel Ungaro Ungaro 2007 (the one from Francis Kurkjian), EdP, 86 of 90ml, tester, no cap, box -- taken.

Bookwyrmsmith, I got yours packaged up, sorry I am making you wait this looooooong.

UPDATE: now it is open for everybody.

LOL, Twolf, I still have that adorable SL bell jar on display. It never fails to make me smile.
post #435 of 666
I don't know most of those, lol.
post #436 of 666
Twolf, dear heart, how does Histoire D'amour 2 compare to the original?

Forgot to say, that is really nice of you to offer those up, T.

Ha! I don't know any of them.
That is amazingly generous of you. You must have an enormous collection to thin that many from the herd.
Would any appeal to a spicy/oriental/conehead?
post #439 of 666
Twolf, PM sent re: Ce Soir ou Jamais

Spicy, oriental, conehead? *high fives* .
post #441 of 666
Have P.M.'d you Twolf.
Very generous of you indeed.
post #442 of 666
Updated, thanks. Consider me a weirdo -- let's give a whirl to the people I have dealt with first. No NEW to me addresses at the point.

Auntie Knit -- Hi, we miss you on our SotD thread and many other contributions. You are perhaps the only one who noticed that "2" in the name: right-O, it is not the original "horny elves dancing in the middle of the woods", it is rather a citrus cologne with slightly unusual raspberry + lavender undertones, fairly fresh and long-lasting, especially for the dog days of summer.

Schilling -- both Woodhue and Jai Ose might do this. Nanette is odd, in the least.
post #443 of 666
Southerngardens, I just dropped you a PM. I may be too late.

After my budget putting the kbosh on purchasing for most of this year, I'm going nuts on samples. It helps keep me from getting too twitching from not being able to buy.

Twolf, that's so sweet of you. I really need to go through my samples and put together some packs. The guy from Saks in Chicago loaded me up with multiples of each.

post #447 of 666
Sorry if my offer did not seem for all, I responded to everyone interested in the Spring Equinox giveaway in a PM. Here is the deal: let's hang it like this for the next two to three days so that the people -- whose kindness I am using every day! -- I have had previous dealings with could see what is being offered, and then we will open it for everybody, from what is left over. It seems like a very fair setup to me, non?
post #448 of 666
It's your perfume, Twolf, definitely your right to handle it as you see fit.
post #449 of 666
I agree it is yours to do with as you please, but it was not clear that was the way you wanted it to work. I have had more than my fair share of perfume giveaways going wrong on the men's giveaway thread!

Caron samples - all the fountain exclusives in the little Caron cardboard boxes. I've collected them over the years.

Warning: most of the scents have been reformulated, but at least you'll know what all the fuss was about!

They have been kept in a nice, soft, white / pink piped Chanel makeup case; you get that, too.

I'll do my best to make sure they arrive intact. PM if interested.

I am suuuuper interested in Caron fragrances. Is this offer CONUS only or would you consider Canada?
post #456 of 666
There was just one PM ahead of yours, VintagePoison, I'm sorry. The Caron samples have a new home.

Twolf, I'm sorry for the delay in responding. I was reading about Woodhue and enjoyed the sweet, sentimental associations that people were making to it's scent. If it's still available, I'd be up for it. Thank you for this huge, generous offering from your collection.

Yours, dear! My pleasure.

You can do what you suggest. No big deal.

The giveaway thread in the MFD has rules in place. http://www.basenotes.net/threads/312...29-13/page4Are some needed here now too? If so, do you think the same rules should be effect here or would a different rules be better?

This post from Stu spells out the rules on the other thread:

Offering samples and bottles for free will be allowed here. Let's see if we can do this without asking for sample shipping costs. If someone offers samples and then later receives some, the costs should be a wash. Shipping samples in a small sandwich type baggie and then placing them in a bubble wrap envelope should cost no more than $2.00 U.S. Bottle shipping requests must be for typical shipping costs. Even though the bottles are free please pack them carefully! This should be a fun and conflict free experience. Please do not ask for more than one freebie per month. We do not want "freebie hogs" to ruin the experience for everyone else. Requests are not allowed here, as doing so would be outside the marketplace rules and allowing it would lead to requests from those who do not meet marketplace requirements. Please state to whom you have sent samples. Some reply by PM so no one knows who got them. We want to be able to see if anyone is "hogging" the sample giveaway. Regarding shipping out of one's country- Although some have no problem with this, it is certainly not an obligation. Some must wait on line at an actual post office to do so as opposed to being able to ship domestically from an annex. So let's not disparage those who state CONUS or EU ONLY, for example.

All responses to giveaways should be public so there is no question as to who was first. It may be wise to first post publicly and then follow with a PM with one's address.

Much of what Stu stated was an attempt to avoid having the thread turn into a means of avoid the marketplace requirements for wish lists and the rules about selling decants. I am not sure that's been an issue here.
post #475 of 666

I don't think these set of rules should apply here. There was a misunderstanding between myself and Lisa and does not warrant imposing these rules here. We worked it out between ourselves.

I agree too, the thread has been self-regulating and I don't think rules are needed at this point.
