Which of my scents do you feel is the most appropriate for work?

Choices are Aventus, GIT, MI, Tobacco Vanille, Noir de Noir, and Puredistance M
post #2 of 47
Imo all but Puredistance M, to overpowering imo.
GIT and MI gets my vote. Evilly I wanted to choose TV muahahaha.

I wear Puredistance M to the office all the time. Just keep it to 1.5 sprays.

Your brave lol

I tried my friends sample, holy this stuff is strong. Need to get myself a sample to try it properly

MI or GIT. On one hand, it's a shame that such expensive fragrances would be used in such a mundane environment, but on the other hand, a quality scent can truly brighten what would be just another day at the office. An expensive day, but at least it smells nice.

aventus or git
For work GIT and/or MI. Aventus might smell to different for the workplace, but it depends where you work. TV and Noir just too much for the workplace regardless of where you work.
I wear any of my fragrances to work. Depends on my mood. For an office setting, I think Aventus would suit you just fine.
GIT is my least favorite on that list, but I voted for it b/c it is the most universally appealing. Aventus and TV might be too strong for office wear.

Git

Can't go wrong with GIT

GIT from your list for the office, IMO.
rotate them all ...
GIT or MI. Both are appropriate but I voted MI just because it's a little lighter.

All of them work. I don't see why they wouldnt.

Green Irish Tweed gets my vote, pure class.

Aventus, far too sexy for the office.

Depends who works in your office...
Form your list, I'd go with a light application of M.
GIT or MI

neither are too offensive (although expensive) and are better day scents.
All of them except Aventus and MI - these two should never be worn at any time/place.
From the list, GIT.

Agreed....I would probably fire you if you wore Noir de Noir in to work. NOT a fan.

GIT and MI.
none of those are great office scents, IMO. definitely not the Tom Fords. and the Creeds are a bit too seductive as well.

you seem to like Creed, check out Tabarome Millesime. that's my favorite Creed for the office and a starched white dress shirt.

I would not describe Aventus as "sexy"...
...none of them...don't wanna irritate my colleagues!
Aventus
GIT and MI are about as close to universally enjoyed fragrances as you'll find. Unless you use too much, neither will offend anyone.

TV is too strong, and will put off some people. Aventus isn't as strong, but is less likely not to offend that MI or GIT.

To me, not offending my coworkers is the primary watchword for an office scent. Smelling nice is a given.

When I think "office" "professional" "business man", I think Kiton Men. But from your selection, Green Irish Tweed
post #36 of 47
I was thinking Aventus
GIT. no competition.

gee, Trauerkraut, WHY DON'T YOU give him a recommendation instead of trashing his options? that would be very HELPFUL.

Thanks for all the comments and votes. I had been rotating between a lot of Aventus, MI, and some Puredistance until I received my GIT from the Walgreen's deal a few weeks ago. Since then, I've been wearing that a lot more. It looks like that is the consensus here as well

You're having a laugh with some of these. What kind of office do you work in?

Chanel Pour Monsieur.

I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. It's business casual attire...everyone is very friendly and pretty low key. There are a lot of girls my age (early 20's) that work on the same floor, opposite end of the building, in sales. There is a gym in the basement that I use every day at lunch, so I end up taking a shower around 1 pm anyway. I can still smell whatever I am wearing on my clothes, but it's not as intense in the afternoon.

For me it's GIT!!!

I realize you didn't ask about other scents, but a conservative use of Tiffany for Men works great for the office.
Out of those scents the least offensive is GIT.

I agree. I recently sampled it a couple of times ans like it very much. Good longevity and would definitely be a winner on more formal workdays.
+1 for GIT.

That is exactly what I would do. Actually I do rotate almost everything in my collection, although I am in a non-standard office environment, with designers, artists, and photographers.
