You can buy a 2.5ml tester of Aventus on the Creed website for $38 and they'll even throw in 4 other scents. Am I missing something?

it comes down to $132 after you type in the code "basenotes" and get the discount.
I was wondering if that's what you were implying...

Here's a code for 20% off on two items. Left row, third from the top:

Pretty good deal on 2.5 oz VIW. Comes out to $84.

OK, I don't have any Creed's...

I have been tempted by the multitude of comments about Aventus but have never even seriously considered buying Creed (because of "batch variations"). I just don't know of I should go ahead and jump on this deal or not? Am I a fool to get a tester bottle of a fragrance that changes from batch to batch? Creed fans will tell me to get it. Detractors will tell me not to. I am so unsure about this house with a great reputation and yet with reported inconsistency.

HELP!

They also have MI testers for $87.

Do testers have the batch number on them?

*EDIT* I just checked my wife's "Love in White" tester. It does have the batch number.

Nice find, blackmilk.

So much for costs prohibiting people from trying Creeds. No excuses anymore. These prices for the 2.5 oz testers on Fragrancenet.com are in line with most average to higher-end colognes now (after the 15% "basenotes" discount). Free shipping, no tax. Pretty hard to beat.

Green Irish Tweed - $108
Himalaya - $87
Millesime Imperial - $87
Aventus - $132
Original Santal - $91
Royal Water - $88
Silver Mountain Water - $85
Tabarome Millesime - $91
Original Vetiver - $94
Virgin Island Water - $89

I was so tempted to buy the Aventus, but I have a 1.7 oz decant that will last me for a few years.

I think batch variation gives most people pause to buy. You can get some good deals. If I knew I could get a good batch of MI I would get the 17 oz. Maybe Fragrancenet lets you return them if they are poor?

Those prices are fantastic.

...no thanks...!

Just buy a 1.7 ounce for $75 from heperd lol. It's cheaper per ounce that way(unless of course you want the bottle). And 1.7 ounces of aventus will last you years? Wow. I think I went through 1.7 ounces in 2 months lol. Creed is expensive but well worth it. I've tried other scents and they just don't wear we'll on me as the creed line. Anyways, good lookin out. Always check the split threads. Kron does a good split as well as heperd(of known good batches)
