Very sharp green and Orange Blossom opening...almost vetiver green, Dries down quickly to warm benzoin, beeswax, and orange blossom. I like it, but it loses its uniqueness
I am a fan of Montales, having Black Aoud, Dark Aoud, Cuir d'Arabie, Louban, and Red Aoud. This is a variation on the Black Aoud fragrance, minus the blast of oud, being replaced by a blast of...
This sweet cherry honeyed fragrance is not bad at all. Powdery vibe going on with this one. Kind of reminds me of Pure Havane minus the powdery vibe. I detect the hay which gives this a slight...
Frapin 1270 is a delicious gourmandish scent. The sweetness is soft, yet creamy, caramely with some nuts in the middle. Overall, it is warm, boozy, and intoxicating with a nice vanilla drydown....
The love at first whiff is not so much because of the cumin (and note that to me is home-like, comforting, earthy and sensual), but more so with how it is orchestrated with iris and earthy-ambery...
well, already posted cdg ouarzazate as my main sotd but i've just come back from liberty where i've 'indulged' myself a little, so now i'm wearing on the left wrist/back of the hand divine l'homme sage (no one is mentioning the amazing smokiness of this in the drydown) and lumiere noire, on the right wrist/back of the hand corso como and kinski. so far, divine l'homme sage is winning the race, followed closely by kinski (i'd say neck in neck with corso como).
i'm a bit indifferent to lumiere noire, too much rose for my taste (probably that's why i've never touched voleur de roses, still in the box after trying it once).

ok, major shift, in the drydown lumiere noire is absolutely glorious, the rose is all but gone, just the slightest wiff, i am only left with a magical smell of patchouli, spices, woods, dusty drydown, absolutely amazing. still second to divine l'homme sage but that might change.
