It's grey and rainy here today & I'm a bit sleepy eyed (didn't get enough sleep last night) so this one seemed to fit:

Quiet Riot - Cum on feel the noize

'80s music is great ... but I can't say the same thing about my english ...

It looks like the "Cum On Feel the Noize" is a rock song originally released by Slade in 1973" according to Wikipedia and that Quiet Riot's cover was released ten years later in 1983. Enjoy!

while selecting the music for my next article on Exotic music I stumbled on this classic...I LOVE THIS!

And what a great album it is, Mike!

I've been listening to this extremely beautiful album by the Argentinian artist Federico Durand. The album's called El Éxtasis De Las Flores Pequeñas (2011), and should be investigated by anyone who loves Harold Budd and the early ambient works of Brian Eno. Fantastic stuff!

Pescado Rabioso - 'Artaud' (1973)

Another album from Argentina. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Spanish or Latin rock (too clichéd and unoriginal) but this album is a real gem. Noticeably stripped-down with a subtle nod towards David Bowie, Queen and The Beatles (of course!), this folk-psychedelic effort took a little while to completely win me over but its potential was apparent from the very start. Highly recommended!

Serenity & Don't Say You Know (Limited Edition) by bvdub (aka Brock Van Wey)

Two new bvdub releases, including a limited edition bonus CD. A little bit more uplifting that what I'm used to hearing from him.

I'm loving this composer lately. I'm amazed he's as neglected as he is.

I think Cage is really overplayed as "difficult" music. I think much of his stuff is the most accessible modernist classical around.

Some of his Sontas For Prepared Piano are downright catchy:

Number Thirteen and Two are also rather cute and catchy.
