Proud of my friends band MONA. Weird/awesome watching a band go from nothing to stardom. My friends and I have been going to their shows going on 8 years now, I used to know the drummer pretty well. Anyways, check them out! They were just on Jay Leno and Conan and were featured on iTunes this week.

Absolutely sublime song, and then the video? Easily one of, if not the best, I've ever seen.

Today, husband commented that Siniestro Total's music is a rip-off of The Clash. I don't see the similarity *at all*. Que?

I am by no means a fan of Philip Glass ( an understatement ), but I've discovered some intriguing music in his pre-minimalist era that's much less starched and and ear numbing, in fact the following is somewhat neo-Renaissance by way of Stravinsky's Symphonies of Wind Instruments.

Just goes to show it's never safe to dismiss any artist's work until you've fully explored it.

Cássia Eller- Partido alto; the song is from Chico Buarque and this one of the best interpretations I've ever seen; the lyrics are one of my favorites either:

I don't even like the two songs being mashed here, but I really find The Reborn Identity's mashups are really very polished and always give their component songs a new mood.
