Black ring version, unfortunately!

All blind buys today! Gianfranco Ferre for Men (4.2 oz EDT spray), Tuscany Forte (2x 0.25 oz EDT splash), Worth Pour Homme (1.7 oz EDT spray), Michael by Michael Kors (puny sample), Jacomo de Jacomo (3.4 oz EDT spray)

Am especially excited to have landed the Tuscany Forte. Michael scares me somewhat (Tania Sanchez rated it one of the worst of all time, but BNers as a whole seem to disagree).

danny, will do. I purchased my bottle from amazon (cheaper per ounce than any ebay offering). Amazon listed the product as Ferre by Gianfranco Ferre for Man, the box appears gold with brown or black trim, and the bottle appears black/dark brown with a gold sprayer and a gold rim around the spray nozzle. Link to the product I purchased appears here: http://www.amazon.com/Ferre-Gianfran...0622607&sr=8-4

Of course, Amazon's fine print cautions "Packaging for this product may vary from that shown in the image above." In any event, I will report back on the success (or not) of this blind buy. Cheers, Adam

Thanks, hednic. It seems very well regarded on this forum and was dirt cheap (less than $5 an ounce). Had a amazon gift card burning a hole in my electronic wallet.

GUCCI ENVY

Picked up the last one from my local discount chemist a few days ago. This product had been taken down from their website so I assumed that they were not getting anymore due to the discontinuation. I went in mainly to ask about it but was pleasantly surprised to see one lonesome box sitting on the shelf. Needless to say I nabbed it fast.

Oh how I have dreamed of getting this fragrance.

Portrait of a Lady as the spoils of my successful Vegas outing. I should probably give a shout out to the excellent Barney's LV rep Joe, who put up with a lot of vacillation and sampling of all sorts of things from me during the trip.

You did great. I have yet to come across a perfume that awes me as much as portrait of lady. Not to mention the wild feedbacks I have received - One lady put her nose to my neck several times to get a whiff, while her bf was watching, very awkward...

Thanks, Reza. I am surprised that lady needed to even get that close, as on me this stuff projects like crazy. It also lasts for what seems like forever. I was driving in my car today testing a different scent, and I smelled something unbelievable emminating around my pulse point on my arm where I sprayed the Norne sample from today and said, wow, this stuff has an amazing dry down... I don't remember it being this good... It took me a couple of minutes to realize that actually what I was smelling was PoaL still remaining on the sleeve of my coat from over four days ago where it rubbed off my arm. Great stuff indeed. :-)

To be honest I was surprised too, especially when she came back for a second and a third time.
Yes, both longevity and silage are insane. The downside is that with time my senses are getting more and more habituated to this scent, and the strength only speeds up the process.
