Spice Bomb! Spice Bomb! You're my Spice Bomb! and Baby You Can Turn Me On! A Review of SpiceBomb - Page 2

I could not get a fair offer for swap or sell for my Spicebomb, and now I'm glad I did not! I wore three sprays to work today and it has been a very enjoyable ride. No compliments, but I have loved it. Sometimes it's best when you don't sell a scent you think you don't like. I think my mistake when I wore it before was that I wore too much, like 5 sprays. With three, it's just better for some reason.

Gucci Pour Homme II >>>> Spicebomb
Spicebomb always feels like it's trying to hard... "Look at me! Look at me!"

Antidote on the other hand, that is a V&R masterpiece.

My wife really liked Gucci II on me, but it did not appeal to me. I owned it at least twice, but I never cared much for it.

My thoughts exactly and I prefer Eau des Baux. I tried them both at the same time and found EdB to have a better drydown. Spicebomb really didn't do it for me although it was perfectly nice. I expected a real amount of spice.

Tried this yesterday.

Meh. Too 'samey'.

Just like any other vanilla / sandalwood / pepper scent.

IMHO. Probably the best Mens Designer Offering for 2012 - Juice wise! Come to think of it the bottle is great too.

Pure Havane with a twist and isnt a limited edition... I like!
I wore 3 sprays today. 11 hours later it smells awesome down my shirt. My wife really liked it and said "don't you dare sell it" when she smelled it on me this evening.

Spice Bomb is definitely not for everyone, but it IS definitely for ME. I absolutely love it. It's the signature scent I've been waiting for. Thank you, Viktor & Rolf!

I really like this scent. I only wish that it would last longer on my skin. It is sort of a grown up version of One Million. I dig the bottle also.
I managed to get this for a fair price and couldnt be happier!
My wife loves the spice in it and well.....that makes me love it as well
post #72 of 100
Yep. Current Top 5 choice for me.
I tested spicebomb on my skin and didn't care for it too much but maybe will give it another shot in the near future. Yet, the bottle is so cool I would happily watch it on my wardrobe lol.

I wore 3 sprays today and it about choked me. Was really strong. Hmmmmm.....

It's indeed a strong one.... 3 sprays of Spicebomb is overspraying, unless you go clubbing.

For those that like Spicebomb, sample the EdP of Hanai Mori HiM. It's a less sweet SB with a touch of Gucci Pour Homme II.

Great scent and love the bottle! Not sure if I'll get it just yet with Summer coming but I might just have a bad day at work and need to buy something to cheer me up
post #78 of 100
I like it.
I like it quite a bit, but I wish the top and middle would last longer. The dry down is mostly vanilla which I don't love so much, but it still has a hint of cinnamon and that is what I enjoy about it. I also got lucky in that the local Nordstrom was giving away samples of it. I took one, and the nice lady handed me another couple of vials of it. So I get a nice looooong test before deciding if I want to buy it!

Retail therapy...you think like me!

I've tried this at least a dozen times now, due to basenotes hype.
It's a badly executed drugstore style scent that is at its very best...... plain boring.
i have tried a lot of spice fragrances and this is my favourite, although i can see how people might think it is too sweet/powdery.

I went to a bar recently and someone was wearing spicebomb. i started feeling jealous like i was wearing the wrong juice (i was sporting armani code).

Got a sample today, smells like Romeo Gigli with a hint of Joop and Grey Flannel

My quick review of Spicebomb

Scent - 4/5
Originality - 3.5/5
Versatility - 3.5/5
Projection - 2/5 (is a total bomb the first hour, and faint for the rest - inconsistent)
Longevity - 3/5
Value 2.5/5 (at $95, near niche level, it is pricy for what you get)
Overall Rating: 3.5/5

I think it's a fantastic modern designer. Olivier Polge is quickly turning into one of my favourite noses.

Need an edp, doesn't last long on me
I recently bought a 50ml bottle and I haven't even done a wearing of it yet. Well I was at band practice and one of my bandmates was eminating with this wonderful wonderful smell and I couldn't help but ask what it was he had on. Much to my surprise it was Spicebomb. It's funny because I have the fragrance but haven't even wore it once yet.

Wore it a few nights ago and really enjoy it every time I put it on.

It's as though no other house has ever said something like 'it is the scent of ebony starless night, the cloudless summer sky, of chances taken and possibilities to come, a memory of a dream of a song about a bittersweet farewell first kiss in the rain on a bridge in Paris in a wintry wood in the middle of a Moroccan desert and the violets you tucked into your still warm linen shirt that I was wearing when you came home from the orris harvest with a small leather box filled with those cardamom madeleines we always got at that little place (no, not that one, the other one with that waiter with the hair and the thing-- yeah, that one) in the whispering incense swirled shadowy depths of the sparkling red velvet cashmere-lined tear-stained laughter-filled oud-paneled halls of mysterious mystery. Also available in shower gel.

Best post ever!!! I lauged out loud

I thought it was a jumbled mess, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The killer for me was the odd sweetness. I just didn't quite understand what it was supposed to be. Shame, too, because the bottle is great.
buy instead CK ONE SHOCK for HIM its the same but cheaper plus easier to get !!

greets
I go back and forth on this one. I like having it in my wardrobe, but it's not a Top 10 or anything. Just a nice change of pace scent.
I am very happy to send anyone my samples of this fragrance, I don't need them anymore.

I have two samples, - so I'll send one each to two people. Please in the USA only.
and I'll throw in a couple of my own fragrance line samples, you pick what you want, just visit the website...

I really enjoy this fragrance, even though I haven't been grabbing for it as often lately. Its very well blended for a designer and doesn't give off that synthetic vibe I get from most mainstream frags. I get pretty good longevity and silage from it as well.
A safe and sweet "teen frag", very pleasant, reminds me a lot of Dolce & Gabbana By for men.
One of the best new frags out now IMO.
wearing it at the very moment, can smell it after 13 hours
post #99 of 100
The scent is nice and the bottle is cool but it all just doesn't suit de fragrance.

I would call it spicebreeze.
Another gourmand masculin from Olivier Polge. Now the specialist of the genre?
I tried it few month ago but is was during the summer. Very sweet indeed. Not as spicy as I expected it to be. I was not impressed and the scent was quite boring. Maybe I should try it this winter.
