Similar to Mouchoir de Monsieur?

I suppose I should be asking rather, "If I love Mouchoir de Monsieur, what else should I sniff?" My signature is an expensive one (relatively) and I was hoping to find some alternatives to round out my wardrobe based on what I am already wearing.

I remember someone saying that it reminded him of Zino, but I don't see it.

Chanel pour Monsieur is like a watercolour version of MdM. I refer to the original CpM, not the concentree.

Perhaps you'd like Ungaro II - whilst it doesn't have quite the finesse of MdM, it is also a civet / lavender / vanilla / lemon fragrance.
Discontinued, but bottles are still available.

Shalimar EDC and Jicky. Nothing else, really.

I'll surely second both Ungaro II and Jicky

Ungaro II +1 -- like MdM with more civet and less vanilla

Zino is more like Jicky than MdM to me.

Agree with Jicky and Shalimar and add Habit Rouge.

And there's the added fun of trying EDT, EDP & Extrait with the other family members. Did you read the wonderful and sprawling Thread by basenotes member MdM (Mouchoir de Monsieur) about Jicky, MdM and his attempts to find alternatives in the face of reformulations etc.?

Perhaps Chanel Egoiste (not platinum) and Caron 3eme Homme would be to your liking

Ungaro II is kind of similar.

Ungaro II and Jicky for sure

Though it doesn't smell the same per se, I'd give Dunhill for Men 1934 a try. It doesn't have the animalic element, but it is a floral fougere from the olden days that exudes the same kind of sophistication as MdM.

+1 what gandhajala said about Ungaro II!
Jicky EdP
old Shalimar (try EdT or EdC - I prefer the former or the best of all extrait)
Caron Pour un Homme (no civet)

I think Caron pour un homme is far inferior. And to me it has some animalistic qualities, but I don't like it.
Well, I also think of Jicky, although Jicky has significantly more vanilla.
You might like Chanel Egoiste indeed. It's not a civit bomb, but the current version has a slight animalistic vibe - depending on the skin (on my mum it got really skanky).
