Good morning,



I clearly got the ylang-ylang whisper in Sous le Vent for the first time today...
a wonderful match on a cold but sunny morning! I can't wait for warmer temps to arrive. Such a drag - EVERY year

Today I am in Prada Infusion d'Iris - not too sure about this on myself, I seem to find it a little bit melancholy somehow - however as I am super busy at work it does seem to also keep me calm!

I'll tell you more -- I fell hard for a song yesterday, Kodachrome by Paul Simon (neither rock nor country, not much vocals, silly non-rhyming lyrics, have heard it many times before, etc.etc. but with a great attitude to life, a make-one-feel-better message). To all of the other fans of Mitsouko, this morning (in honor of rtamara41) I broke out my bar of vintage Mitsouko soap and took a shower in it. OMG, this stuff has to be +20 years old and it smells stronger than all of the other scented soaps in my shower. Must be the nitromusks or something else that is most likely banned now...I mean they might as well have named it Oakmoss Soap - it's VERY mossy. Just lovely. I wore it and then applied my morning scent and the 2 blended really nicely. BIG THANKS to the generous Basenoter who gifted me this bar a couple years ago.

I saw lilybelle wearing this last week, and it piqued my interest - gosh, this smells SO MUCH like Aramis and Cabochard, it's hard for me to notice the tiny differences. A good, solid chypre like only Bernard Chant can do (who also BTW, did Devin too).

Good evening, good smelling gentlepersons. Started in Rubaiyat again, but it got kinda sweaty smelling? I am not sure how to describe, but no likey. A dab of Tabac Aurea worked to fix it.

Wearing Nectarine Blossom & Honey by Jo Malone. This was a mistake spray. I meant to reach for another sample this morning and instead got this one. Unfortunately it is not very nice on my skin. I thought there would not be any problem, since it is Jo Malone and longevity could not be that great.

Doesn't this always happen with perfumes we don't like? It is still going strong, after over 8 hours. Arghhh!!
That will teach me to pay attention and spray until I am really awake
