I found the perfect scent!

I tried Biagiotti Roma pour homme and while I liked it a lot, it lacked something challenging. So I layered it with Lalique Encre Noire. And there you have it. The perfect scent! However, I can't buy to layer, so.. anyone have any idea of a fragrance smelling like this combo??

I was pretty much tripping on this - I couldn't stop smelling myself... heavenly...

Haven't tried Roma, but vetiver and vanilla combine to a tobacco accord to my nose, so you might want look for a sweet citrus & tobacco number. Start at the bottom of the barrel with Cuba Orange and work your way up.

For vetiver and vanilla you could try L'Occitane Vetyver or ELDO Fat Electrician

MonkeyBars - I think you might be right! See my other thread http://www.basenotes.net/threads/295...54#post2485954. I've never seen Cuba Orange, but I'll look for it. What do you mean by "work my way up"? Do you have other suggestions for this genre, I'll be very thankful!

Redbeard - I've tried both of these and none of them impressed unfortunately. I'll make sure to revisit them, however, it's been a while.

You're welcome man. By "work your way up," I mean go up in price from there to more expensive (probably better) explorations of the citrus-tobacco concept, Cuba Orange being the cheapest. It's not an area I'm that familiar with.

I really like Biagotti Roma.
If I come across Lalique Encre noire I will try this.
Though I think it's great as it is as long as the air is cold.

Imagine Roma glowing under layer of old, dark wood and chilled smoke, that's what it was like.

'Don't think so. ELdOs Electrician has more of a butter cookie or a quiet catholic church than just 'vanilla'.
