Fragrance For A Formal Event

I'm looking for recommendations for a fragrance to wear to a black tie event in May. FYI, I'm a mature man with gray hair and am a bit conservative. I do, however, have a large collection a frags from the likes of Serge Lutens, L'Artisan, Parfumerie Generale, Lorenzo Villoresi, and Santa Maria Novella to name a few.

Thanks in advance for any help.

BTW, Creed frags do not work on me.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'll go with my Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.

From your wardrobe I'd go with one of your Tom Fords. Grey Vetiver or Italian Cypress would be my top picks.

Black Tie? I'm a 60 something guy too and I'd go with something crisply clean but very opulent. How about Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist or Le Labo Iris 39? I like iris based scents for this kind of formality. You could also go with Prada Infusion d' Iris or Dior Homme. Hey it's just an idea!

If you are looking for an excuse to buy another fragrance, I would try Domenico Caraceni 1913 - elegance personified.
