Mix of the day - Le Male + Kouros :)

I experiment a bit with layering, although I know this a NO NO among frag heads and perfumers, because you can end up ruining one frag or both of the juices you layer/mix/hybrid or what you prefer to call it.

In one out of 4 experiments, I usually get a great mix and I honestly at the moment prefer to wear a mix of le Male and Kouros, rather than wearing Le Male or Kouros alone

I get the nauseating sweet minty vanilla vibe from Le Male combined with the soapy, freezing & spicy vibe from Kouros - both are extremely strong in the projection and longevity department - and I received my first compliment in 3 weeks from 2 female co workers and one male co worker this night.

I have 4 sprays of each on me - and now 6-7 hours after application, I still smell them freshly on my skin. Great stuff, and on me even greater in combination with each other

I'm addicted to this combo - I have 2 x 100 ml Kouros and 1 x 200 ml Le Male.
I advice others to try it - it may not work on your skin, but give it a try - 3 compliments in 3-4 hours, this stuff is magic

It's a shame to ruin the Kouros like that.

Wow, this is always an interesting topic to me even though I've never tried it myself. Let us know if you find any other good combinations.

Don't get me started

I experimet a LOT - too much in fact

These work very well on my skin - and I get a LOT of complimnts, when I wear them:

Chanel Egoiste and Azzaro Acteur

Zino Davidoff and Caron Le Troisiemme Homme

Dior Fahrenheit and Bvlgari Black

Caron Pour un Homme and Boucheron Jaipur Homme EDP

Caron Pour un Homme and Burberry London

YSL Rive Gauche and Lagerfeld Classic

The Creed GIT clone - Eau de Cartier Concentrée (2 sprays), Guerlain Vetiver (1 spray) & Davidoff Cool Water (2 sprays)

YSL Body Kouros and Narciso Rodriguez for Him

Roadsted de Cartier and Jil Sander for Men

Moschino Uomo and Burberry Brit

Armani Code and Carolina Herrera Chic for Men

Dior Fahrenheit 32 and Chanel Allure Sport Eau Extreme

Your mileage may vary quite a bit

I play tennis and also hybrid tennis strings like crazy - natural gut and Poly is my fav.
Always first try them alone, then get ideas and combine them.......same with frags.

Yeah thats a waste of Kouros, and I like Le Male. I like the creativity though, but I would think Egoiste would swallow Actuer whole.

Just use Fleur du male! Or fleur du male cologne. There is a soapy floral vibe but with a bit of kouros animal thrown in and then of course le male DNA....

On me it doesn't.

The rosewood in Egoiste makes a partnership with the softer, yet more predominent rosewood in Acteur - I really enjoy this mix highly

If it works for you, then go for it!

Le Male plus Kouros does 'sound' like a nuclear assault to me though ;o)

OMS isn't the monster people make it out to be, but OMS Gold is the most powerful fragrance in the universe.

There it is.

I often wonder when people speak of the compliments they get whether perhaps their sarcasm meters are broken.

I'm sorry but 4 sprays of either of those fragrances is just too much.

Dude, one evening I put one spray of Le Male from a sample vial on my chest and I could smell it all night, and woke up in the morning still reeking of it. And you put four of those from a full size bottle plus four sprays of Kouros? Christ, man! Have some consideration for those around you.

Actually the Danish climate is very harsh to fragrances, and they often need an extra spray or two to make it last and project, compared to other countries. Also consider the differences between different ethnicities' skin composition.

Secondly, we are not frag'ophobes as it seems a lot of people are on the other side of the Atlantic. Many people, in casual settings or at work, wear fragrances noticeably, from the girl sitting at the cash register to the guy in the suit.

That does not mean that we do not have oversprayers here, and guys wearing 10-15 sprays of PR 1 Million is a cancer spreading violently in Denmark... But to my nose, any amount of 1 Million is intolerable, so I am very subjective on this matter

That is a lot of generalising about Denmark and Europe. What makes the Danish climate, all of it, so harsh to fragrances? What ethnicity and what skin type are you talking about? 'White' skin? Please define these things.

You just generalised about places on both sides of the Atlantic: "...we are not frag'ophobes as it seems a lot of people are on the other side of the Atlantic." Just because people might be offended by someone who wears too much fragrance, does not make them "frag'ophobes" it makes the wearer a 'classy' gentleman.

A total of 8 sprays between two well known powerful fragrances is too much unless you work outside, in the rain, in a hurricane, offshore, on an oil-rig, and your clothing consists of nothing but oilskins down to your underwear. I cannot imagine having to deal with someone wearing 4 sprays of either fragrance, never mind 4 sprays of each.

Have you ever actually tried 4 full sprays of either fragrance mentioned?

There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour. But then again:

I have actually tried four full sprays of both, and as a Dane, I know quite a lot more about my country than you do

I agree that 4 sprays of both at the same time is pushing it a bit, but depending on what he was doing that day, what clothes he was wearing and the weather, it could be considered tolerable.

Denmark is very close to being the same size as Switzerland, it is totally flat and surrounded by sea, except for the narrow strip of land connecting it to Germany. Therefore it is windy and rainy. This naturally gives fragrances harder conditions to live under.

Regarding my comments about frag'ophobes, I referenced to the very large amount of people from North America talking about max. 1-3 sprays, or else you are offending people around you. There are obviously cultural reasons for this difference, traditions etc. When hearing from people from the Middle East, some often talk about doing 10-15-20 sprays, because of the climate and cultural reasons. Also because of having to compete with other people's scents.
I know I am painting with broad strokes, but I am not saying all people are like that.
I am all about embracing difference, not shunning it ^^

Loved the pic by the way
