I need something to attract attention

Thread Starter
I have a few fragrances and have become a bit obsessed with smelling good ( not a bad thing right? ) I currently only own a few, John Paul, 1 Million, Joop which are all around the 40 pound mark, some cheaper, I am looking for a fragrance with NO price range, something that will attract attention and smell amazing and last a decent amount of time.
For casual use, I'd suggest Aventus. If you want a clubbing/parties fragrance I think you already have the one that fits all of your requirements: One Million.

Portrait of a Lady has tremendous sillage and longevity. Another price no object option is Arsene Lupin (Dandy) by Guerlain.

Both are great. Aventus will get you more notice though. I'd go with that.

You are not going to get laid.

The only thing you will smell like is desperation.

Sorry but sometimes the truth hurts.

A fragrance won't get you laid. Confidence, a sense of humour and an outgoing personality will do that.

I have a good sense of humor, I am funny etc, I am not ugly or anything, I just want the fragrance to give me more of a chance, so my choices are between, New haarlem, aventus, Amouage Reflection Man and creed - MI, help please.

I mentioned this the other day on another thread; I saw a guy use 12 sprays of Kouros from a tester bottle in store on Friday. It was incredible to watch!

And a fragrance can help him to feel better and show these aspects.

A fragrance isn't going to solve this guy's problems. He's asking for advice on how to smell on the Internet!!!

Or he's a really bad (and boring) troll.

Aventus is the way to go for every occasion.
It is fruity, sweet and a little bit smoky.
You can wear it in every season.

If you want something, which is warm, smoky and woody, I can recommand Memoir Man. It attracts attention.
But I will tell you that it doesn´t always attract attention in a positiv way.

If you wanna wear something for clubbing:
-Aventus
-Dior Homme Intense.

Personally, I don´t wear smoky fragrances when I go to clubbing, because every club is smoky enough (Thanks to smokers).

Aventus or Millesime Imperial. Both are awesome and women (in general) like them a lot.

Good Luck! If you haven't read "The Game" you should. Ignore most of it, especially the bull$hit about canned routines and such... but pay attention to the stages of relationship and recognizing indicators. Pretty much every relationship goes through the stages outlined in the book, and if you can recognize indicators and create attraction through demonstrating value you will be far ahead of most guys. A lot of this is what naturally happens when people meet and are attracted to each other, but some (many) guys don't get it without a little help, and many don't understand what causes a woman to be attracted to a guy. And it is true that fragrance doesn't matter so much, consider it a fashion accessory, it's not going to get you laid any more than your choice of shirt, pants or shoes will.

Lol I can imagine...a woman at the perfume counter sprayed some for me on a tester strip...myself and three other people in the store coughed immediately upon her she spraying it. She sprayed it and said oh my god...this stuff stinks. Lol

This is a good list actually. Please dont overspray them because I am quite sure they are mostly projection beasts except for Millesime Imperial if I am not wrong.
If attention is all you want, then I suggest Lapidus Pour Homme. It is the strongest projecting cologne I have ever worn. I've worn A*Men (and all it's flankes), Aventus, 1 Million, Le Male, Tobacco Vanille, Quorum, M7, and Original Santal...all of which are considered very strong. Compared to Lapidus, they all might as well have been the residual water in a recently emptied flower vase in terms of projection and scent strength. It is nuclear in the literal sense. You will be missing patches of skin after a night of wearing Lapidus and your hair may fall out. I may have peed blood once. Even 5 hours after application it is stronger than most colognes during their initial spray. It also smells pretty good if not a bit dated. It's very natural smelling and has a fruity pineapple and honey scent. Oh, and it's stupid cheap. Like 2+2=5 cheap.

Now if you want attention AND want something that girls will love I recommend none other than Acqua Di Gio. Yeah yeah yeah, it's an aquatic and it's played out and blah blah blah. Regardless, it can literally get girls pregnant from the smell alone. It's a guaranteed compliment getter. It also projects very strongly for the first few hours. People will smell you from a few feet away easily. The sillage trail is about as big as John Holmes on a hot day. Longevity is 6-8 hours depending on how sweaty you get.

Sorry, but you're the troll here.

What better place to ask for expert advice on scents & frags than on an internet based forum for ÜBER fragrance fanatics

He will not get laid based only on what fragrance he wears, but wearing a good fragrance combined with having a good sense of humor, a nice outgoing personality and dressed in proper stylish clothing certainly will up his chances - no doubt about that

Thanks for the help guys, I am swaying towards Aventus now and have heard about bad batches, can I guarantee I get a good batch by buying from the official Creed website?

Also I have heard longevity is a factor with this?

Surely you're not as naive as you're letting on?

Chucky has no chance of getting laid due to your or anyone else's advice. Plain & simple.

Now leave me, I am getting help from educated people unlike yourself.

C'mon, Chucky. You can't fool everyone.

What type of person comes on the Internet and says, "Hi, I'm 20 years old and I'm a virgin and I want to get laid and I need you to tell me what fragrance I can wear so I can get laid"?

Sounds like the plot of a bad Adam Sandler movie.

You're trying to make fun of Basenoters and it's not funny.

Good is it not though quite potent that I found a few samples got me by without buying a full bottle.

It smells like a cinnabon shop.

It's also divisive and not as likely to be appreciated by people in the OP's age group as Aventus or MI. There was a MR vs. MKK thread in the female forum and many posters had a strong dislike for one or the other. Obviously many people love them as well, but I think it's fair to say that it really isn't a "safe" frag. I don't mind it and I'd wear it if I knew my girl loved it, but it would be the last frag I'd go to if I was looking for a date...

lol, that reminds me, ignore everything he says about style too. It's great to have your own personal style, but nobody really "peacocks" anymore, do they? Mystery looks like a clown, and it's a mystery to me how any woman finds him attractive.

Ya'll need to stop AMOGing the new guy. He just wants to up his game like Neils Strauss.

As for Aventus batches and longevity...get a 2011 and you'll be good to go. Great longevity and projection. Pinapple leathery smokiness to the extreme.
I cannot believe how a nice guy asking for perfume advice is getting criticized for being silly ... etc. etc.

Here is a piece of advice from a woman: You may not get laid as a result of wearing the "perfect" scent, but the confidence that a well chosen perfume will give you, will lead you forward to a relationship as a beginning to ... you know ...

GIORGIO ARMANI - Armani Code

Good luck and have fun.
If only healthy self-esteem were obtainable via the application of a fragrance. That's a big lie of our consumer society.

It'll end in tears. (Though it appears likely that Creed will have a bit more money in its coffers before this is all over.)
On a different note, there was a lot of wisdom in the following thread:

http://www.basenotes.net/threads/282...an-or-a-woman.

How soon we forget.
You don't know HOW WRONG YOU ARE seeing everything only in a negative way. Relax. The guy wanted advice and he is getting advice. He is young. Young people gain self confidence as they go forward living and embracing a challenge. To ask the question here in an open Forum showed a certain amount of guts. So, good luck to the brave.
