Guys, I am getting an opportunity to buy vintage piment brulant 1.7 oz. for about $31.this items gets a little more bashing as compared to other artisans..need honest opinions and suggestions.. have recently acquired dzing, timbuktu, tea for two, and vanilia and dzongkha is on the way. like all of them so L'Artisan does seem to come up with unusual but impressive stuff.

I have this in my collection and am a fan of it. That's a good price by the way.

thanks so much forfreddie and hednic for your responses..i am buying it blind and i admit it, the offer is too tempting..given hednic's status on basenotes, i may pull the trigger

Snatch it before it is sold to somebody else. You can always re-sell it, but I think you will find it is very unique.

arwen_elf, the seller has given me until tomorrow...but i will let him know tonight...i have been puzzled due to two pieces of information..it is bashed for its resemblance to bell pepper which discourages me but the history behind the fragrance (being the knowledge junkie and the inquisitive person i am) that it was inspired by an Aztec drink whose recipe was published by the conquering Spaniards encourages me.in the end, brand reputation and history may win i think

While it certainly is green, I don't get bell pepper as some say. I'm a fan and would recommend you grab it up. The 1.7 oz size has been discontinued, it seems, as well.

i have already pulled the trigger, Furriner i just confirmed through company's twitter page that 1.7 oz size has been discontinued but not 100ml. but i am getting vintage version so it may be a little more original formula as well

so today i got the item and wearing three sprays..the top notes are brutal but as i have learnt, i will wait for the drydown before forming an opinion..it has been only 20 minutes..if i like drydown, i am keeping it otherwise selling on BN for $40 plus s/h or on ebay for a little higher starting bid
