These two smell almost exactly the same after half an hour. Has anyone else tried them?
Have both and don't smell the same to me.

Don't get this at all. Besides considerably below average longevity and a "warmer weatgher" vibe, don't see them as similar at all.
Nope.
Not at all.

I get no similarity.
No similarities whatsoever to me, except that they are both good fragrances
post #13 of 24
No way! Completely different to me too.
I smell no resemblance at all.
Not even if you smell them while on acid
If by similar you mean nothing alike, then yes they do?
Nothing remotely resembling each other from start to 5 hours later to me. Green, sweet, fig tree leaves and figs vs tangy pineapples apples and smoke..... noway

not similar ...

Philosykos is my scent of the day and it doesn't smell anything like Aventus.

I think I should explain my claim/observation.

I got carried away and said half an hour. It was more like 2 hours maybe. I went for a walk at lunch time and it was extremely hot (around 17 degrees celcius). After I came back to the office Philosykos smelled exactly like Aventus on me. Exactly.

It had that same amazing dirty, earthy, sweet smell.

Double post, see above.
The fact that you were in extreme heat probably degraded the fragrance to the point it became unrecognizable because they smell absolutely nothing alike.
No they are different as they can be, green against sweet fruity

Nope. I get a sweet dry down from Aventus. It has the best dry down of any fragrance I have tried and Philosykos is the same.
