New Fragrance: Nautica Aqua Rush

From nstperfume.com:

Nautica will launch Aqua Rush in May. The new fragrance for men hopes to capture the exhilaration of being on the water and feeling the waves.

Aqua Rush was developed by perfumer Harry Fremont; notes include sea breeze accord, yuzu, coriander, water mint, clary sage, violet leaves, amberwood, water musks and teakwood.

Nautica Aqua Rush will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Will pass on this one.

Might have to try this one as I like clary sage, yuzu, mint, and violet leaf. Doesn't sound half bad.

Definite pass for me.

The bottle is a Nikos knockoff. Let's hope the scent bears originality...

Thank you for the news!

I wonder what makes the industry think we are soon running out of aquatics to buy/want.

agree with both thanks and "why"

Blah.. Harry Fremont.. designer clothing brand fragrances.. Not much excitement here. Give him a larger budget and he comes up with greatness like Tuscan Leather. But, in the world of designer fragrances, he is no good for the most part.. I'll pass on this one.

Hopefully a good cheapie.

I will not even sample this scent.....Gary

I'm not usually a huge Nautica fan, but I might have to try this one. Mint, yuzu, coriander/cilantro, and oceanic notes are all favorites of mine. This one actually sounds promising, but we all know how note lists are. (sometimes they seem to have little resemblance to the actual smell).

And of course you might just miss out on a great fragrance. To each their own yes.. but stop with the snobbery. Its so lame. Nautica actually does aquatics right. I say judge a scent after you smell it.. at least you will have an actual educated opinion and something to go off.. makes sense to me

This just arrived in the store today. Not hideous, not anything remarkable either. $49 for the 1.7 oz. $65 for the 3.4 oz. isn't can't there be as big a push for deep wintery frags instead of the light summer stuff?? Ugh

Nautica. Reinventing the (water)wheel since 1983.

Nautica by its brand identy will always launch fresh oceanic fragrances - I could not fathom (no pun) a wintery night time scent from Nautica.

I agree, and hence the name Nautica but I mean every week I go to work and there is a new f-ing Sport or Summer edition or Fraiche etc... why can't those of us who like frags with balls be inundated in early fall with deep, woodsy, amber-y, patchouli, funkified frags that we can actually still smell more than an hour after application.

Don't get me wrong, my heart does skip a beat when I see something new in stock.. but I hate the let down when they all smell like cologne for ppl who are afraid to smell like cologne....

I actually had a customer reel back when she smelled a card with Eternity Aqua on it saying it was "TOOO spicy!!"... as if I had reached in the back of my pants, pulled out a handful of indole, mixed it with civet and a pound of patchouli and added a hint of "musk de Kirstie Alley's dance shoes".... I had to go on my break after that...

Let's form a company called "frags with balls" who's in with me!?!?!

This one is actually pretty nice. I just smelled a magazine insert at work, and I really liked it. I'd easily rank it as my favorite Nautica scent (I know, that's not saying much.) I've never cared much for Voyage (too much apple for me). This one is definitely a fresh/fougere, clean laundry type fragrance with lots of airy/ozonic elements. (kinda in the vein of Cool Water type fragrances, but brighter.) it also kind of reminds me of Swiss Army Classic. Once it hits discounters, I'll definitely grab a bottle of this one.
The only previous Nautica scent I really cared for was White Sail. (another "clean" type fragrance).

Sounds interesting I may scope this one out
