Pick up one of these bad boys. Magic Tree Car Freshener: New Car Scent Attachment 18045 It smells IDENTICAL to By. By smells like this freshener but with a with a leathery, smokey, woody drydown. Mainly Benzoin, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ambroxan, and Guaiacwood.

I picked up one of these Car Trees recently, as it's always been an auto-frag favorite, but darned if it hadn't been reformulated !

Plus, you should see what the vintage ones are going for on E-bay !

Also, for anyone in the market looking for By Man. If the seller says it's a tester... ask for pics, it should look like this. NOT a sticker that says "TESTER".

I just got hit with a wave of complete awe and utter jealousy all rolled in to one emotion. I'm speechless and I want that. Lol we need to talk. I'll send you a PM.

I figured out why By was discontinued. Cost. It wasn't profitable them to keep making it because it wasn't selling. Thanks to my man 1280adam showing us the picture, I see that the in the top notes there is, "Three Heridones' elixir" NOT "Three Hediones' elixir" as posted on this site. Hedione is a synthetic Jasmine compound which is still nice in itself and is found in Christian Dior's Eau Savage, but NOT in By. Heridone is made from a mixture of propylene glycol and 2-methylcyclohexanone , the methyl substitution in the cyclohexyl ring increases its cost and reduces its availability, which is why By was discontinued. Also the fact that the other two Heridones had to have an addition of other molecules to make "the elixir" and the note "Lymph Lifescent" (how the hell do you reproduce the scent of human lymph fluids inside of lymph nodes???) increased the prices. Looking at that note pyramid makes me wonder wtf is in this juice. IDC I still love it lol.

Just something about my skin chemistry and By Man make sweet sweet love together making the most alluring scent I've ever encountrered before on my fragrance journey... I love it!
