Buying LuckyScent 0.7mL samples and transferring them to an atomizer. How many wearings?

I am interested in getting some LuckyScent samples (the 0.7mL ones), and then transferring them to an atomizer, because I guess they just come in vials.

How many wearings would I get out of this? Would one vial be enough, or should I buy two vials of each fragrance I want to sample?

Yes luckyscent samples come in dab vials.

I've done this several times as I find spraying to be the only proper way of testing a perfume. Dabbing is just not the same. I usually order 2 or 3 samples of each perfume which gives me about 1.3ml or 2ml in the atomizer since you're bound to loose a portion while transferring.


1 ml is approx 10 sprays. The amount of sprays will vary from 7 to 12 depending on the sprayer on your atomizer but an 1ml is approx ~10 sprays.

One vial is enough to tell me I hate a fragrance, but not enough to tell me whether I like it enough to buy it.

So I order 2 vials, and transfer them to atomizers. That is usually enough to test, although sometimes if I'm still undecided I'll order more samples. The Luckyscent order form says only 2 samples of each may be ordered; I've never tried getting 3 and didn't know if it would even be honored-- hedonist, you've ordered 3 of the same scent without difficulty?

I actually just received two .7 oz samples of Invasion Barbare from Lucky Scent and decanted them into a 2.5ml atomizer. It filled it up about 60% of the way. I'd say it's enough to wear maybe 3-5 times depending on the number of sprays.

Actually no not from lucky scent. I've ordered a max of two.
Three is when I get them from retailers locally.

But thinking about it now, I don't see why they wouldn't honor a three-sample order. I easily use 1ml to an 1ml and a half per application. I'm sure they'd take that into consideration.

Hmm, it might be worth trying, but I suspect they are trying to avoid people buying enough for a decant (rather than buying a full bottle.) I suppose they had to cut it off somewhere and they decided 2 of each scent would be the max.

l get 2 wearings from a Luckscent sample when decanted into an atomiser, so if you need more, l recommend getting 2 of each.

l agree with Roses that 1 vial isn't enough to be sure that you want to buy it. And l agree that spraying is the best way to really know how a fragrance will perform on your skin, especially in terms of projection & longevity.

It's hard to be satisfied with what you get with 1 vial, get 2 and transfer it into an atomizer. I got about 5 wearings that way, enough to test it.

I get one which is enough for a wear. If I think it might be bottle worthy I'll get a couple more samples to test further and see if a fragrance is FBW.

I don't buy more than one sample initially because a wearing is enough to find out if I really dislike the fragrance.

Thanks for the ideas, I'm going to consider getting two samples of each scent in the future and putting them in an atomizer (especially those scents I think I'll like a lot).
