Montale Order

Hello all, I'm new to posting here but have been visiting the site for over a year.

I'm going to order Montale Aoud Lime in the near future but can not decide on what to get for my free 20ml bottle. I would like to stay within the Aoud line. I tried Black Aoud which I loved but the rose in it really bothered my wife's sinuses. My wardrobe has a lot of gourmand fragrances so I would like to stay away from sweet ones such as Red Aoud.

I'm leaning towards Dark Aoud or Original Aoud. Your input on the Aoud line would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note I will be adding Chanel Antaeus to my wardrobe this weekend.

Thank you.

I have both Original Aoud and Dark Aoud and they're both nice IMO. Original Aoud is very linear and has only oud in it. Another to consider is Aoud Forest.

Original Aoud is a lovely incense. I'd reccomend that.

I actually reviewed both Aoud Lime and Dark Aoud here yesterday.

Hope these help
I'd go with Dark Aoud. It's the best Montale I've tried so far.

I ordered but not tried Dark Aoud yet, so cant comment.
But white aoud is good, and more fun. Also very very unisex, and you can share with your girlfriend. Its a little bit loly, if you like that kind of fragrance.

To me, some of the Aouds were hits and misses. I've only tried a few. Black was my fave, dark was really good but it has the least kick, it's the most basic and bare-bones aoud of the bunch. Red is nice, good choice. Moon was bizarre and sweet, like cotton candy. White was powdery, which did not work with the aoud. How about attar? Never smelled it but it seems to be well liked if you're an incensey person.

Thank you for your suggestions. I decided to go with Aoud Lime and for my free 20ml went with Aoud Cuir d'Arabie. I never tested Aoud Cuir d'Arabie and heard it can be a challenging scent so we'll see how it turns out.

My bet is that you will like Oud Cuir D'Arabie - a very nice scent.
