Three Lutens

I have some eBay money that's burning a hole in my pocket. I'm always routing round on the for vintage scents but I'd like to add to my growing Lutens collection.

I have Arabie, Daim Blonde, Femininite du Bois and Chergui.

My tastes are towards classic chypres and Tuberoses.

Which would you suggest I add next?

Tubereuse Criminelle
Cedre - cedar ,tuberose

+1 for Tubereuse Criminelle!

Definitely T. Criminelle
Then Ambre Sultan if you enjoy amber.
Cuir Mauresque for a 'takes no prisoner and ravages them later' leather and resin.
Fumerie Turque if you enjoy an enveloping smokey aura. Caution, you may get high.
Iris Silver Mist - need I elaborate?
Fourrea Noir is a sleek Lavendar and tonka bean that feels like a silk stocking torn and clipped from a strenuous last night beckoning for another...

If you like tuberose, everybody's already been suggesting the must-buy one.
Are you considering only export or also Paris exclusives?
With Paris exclusives, I'd go for
La Myrrhe (aldehydes, myrrh)
Sarrasins (jasmine, fruits leather)
Export: Muscs Koublai Khan.

I plan to order direct.

The exchange rate and constant shipping costs give me a reasonable cost and guaranteed product, unlike EBay

3 bottles €15 shipping and all the goodies make it the best deal.

I have a big generous sample of Amber Sultan from it's launch in the UK but Mr Ali loathes it as much I adore it.

Looks like TC is a must. I was mentally trying out MKK and either AS despite M Ali's dislike or A la Nuit for the jasmine.

Thoughts on my choices?

All are good. If you like AS, go for it, you can wear it when Mr Ali's not around.

A la nuit is a big, straightforward jasmine, but as mentioned above, for jasmine I prefer Sarrasins. It has an equally indolic jasmine (think salami), but it adds a touch of dry leather and a touch of fruits (a la FdB, but very subdued), so I find it more complex and interesting.

Ok the 1997 bottle of Palacio du Montsalud has worked it's evil magic. Ordered the following:
MKK couldn't resist. I was to smell of fur!
AS bugger Mr Ali
TC welcome Germolene & phenolic opening (I've been a nurse 30 years for me it's nostalgic) then the pure filth of dirty tuberose.

Freebies are pretty good at the moment too

Not in the literal sense Mimi!

Though I may scen hs pillow with it to aclimatise him to it. I do wonder how it will compare to my lovely miniature of the original launch

great choice - the 3 you ordered plus borneo 1834 are for me the top four among 17 lutens i have tried. however, i also think douce amere and cedre are outstanding feminine wear.

+1 Cedre
I'm not entirely sure about TC but it is worth trying.
You might also like to try Boxeuses (since it sits somewhere between DB and FdB), Fleurs d'Oranger and Fleurs de Citronnier.

Oh at the moment there is a free Serge Lutens book available if you order direct from his site.
