Looking for a bold summer fragrance.

Thread Starter
Hello. I need some help finding a good summer fragrance. I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for but I'd like something that's unique and a bit on the bold side. I've been wearing Platinum Égoïste for a while but I'd like to start acquiring some different fragrances.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

How do you want it? Sweet, dry, fresh, green, woody? More details please...

Welcome.

For something fresh and long lasting, I'd go with vetivers, for instance, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Guerlain vetiver, etc.

try:

Aqua Fahrenheit by Christian Dior - This is a considerably toned down version of the original, masterpiece Fahrenheit. No negative connotation is implied or should be taken; rather, this is a distinctive composition, somewhat bright and fresh, with ties to the original.
Initially, one is treated to a blast of sparkling grapefruit, with its sour greenness, tempered by a hint of sweetness from the mandarin. This invigorating, citrus melange is drawn to the heart by a nascent mint. Here, in the heart, the cool spearmint comes into its own with its sweet, green facets, and commingles with violet leaf, with its intense freshness and a hint of cucumber. Basil infuses the refreshing blend with a lively dusting of its lemon-like, savory herb. A very faint undercurrent of petro/gasoline can be sensed. Transitioning to the base, a rather ordinary, woods accord presents, and interplays with a light, almost airy, Haitian vetiver as well as a subtle leather. A placid drydown ensues. This high-quality composition is bright and fresh, and should prove to be very versatile. Having average projection and longevity, this scent will, indeed, shine in the spring, summer and fall.

Aramis Havana. Nothing else quite like it, unless it is the discontinued Aramis Reserva which is a bee-ach to find in the aftermarket these days.

Bold and summer - Hugo Boss Sport

It is very hard to find these days (check ebay), but it is a very atypical sport scent. It is bold, very green, oak mossy, and great for the summer (and the rest of the year for that matter).

Also, Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune, Déclaration, Eau de Campagne, Acteur, or for something really bold, Yatagan.

@ acquadiporma
As I said, this is a considerably toned down version of the original. I am not quite sure I would use the term "weaker version."
Aqua Fahrenheit does stand on its own as a composition with the addition of the grapefruit and mint notes. And, to some, may be a more acceptable and mellower alternative to the original.

Mugler Cologne is nice, but hardly bold, IMO.

Declaration is bold, but try before you buy.

If you want to rock a masculine floral, Fleurs de Bois by Miller Harris has really grown on me.
