Which decade-era of fragrance do you enjoy the most?
I cannot pick one as I have bottles of fragrances from many different decades that I like. So I will pick my top 3:

Eighties
Nineties
2000's

Seventies & Eighties

I like perfumes regardless of era. M

1980s, closely followed by before 1950 and post-2000

I like the transparency and subtleness of fragrances created in the early 2000's. The CDG Incense, new vetivers, woods, dirty rose fragrances, Frederic Malle, Le Labo, Comme des Garcon, The Different Co. L' Artisan, etc. All good.

I voted 'before 1950'. Not that I have lots of those perfumes in my collection, but because they excite me the most. Just seeing an old Guerlain bottle makes my heart beat faster. Ahhh...

Most of my favourites pre-date the 1950s.

I'm leaning towards 80s but there are so many I haven't tried from all dates, it might not be fair.

I am begining to really love vintage extraits but every decade has some amazing scents.

I was actually curious so I went back and broke it down by decade as to which ones I own

70s: 5
80s: 10
90s: 30
00s: 36
10s: 3

Even though numerically I would have to conclude the 00s, considering I prefer the offerings I have from the 90s over the 00s, I will go with that

I'm partial to frags of the 60's, or pre 90's in general.

6. 1960's
7. 1950's

Looks like 1980's is the decade of the best fragrance by most voters here on basenotes

Without a shadow of doubt:

1980's

The era preceding the EU IFRA complicity that has effectively destroyed modern perfumery while at the same time enabling the major fragrance companies to sell less for more

Legends from Guerlain and Chanel were pre 1950s creations. I guess that would be my pick.
