Kiton Men: A cheaper alternative to Chez Bond

Hey Guys:

I recently got some samples of Kiton Men off ebay. I see some comparisons to GIT and even Fahrenheit from other reviewers. I'd say that the similarily to Chez Bond is quite striking. I get that tonka bean sweetness with the violet leaf. So I'd say before purchasing the pricey bottle of Chez Bond, it would probably be worth your time to sample and check out Kiton Men first. Hope to get the exclusive review out on youtube within the next week or two.

For 12 years I've been the somewhat lonely voice around here saying Kiton Men is one classy scent. I don't think it smells anything like GIT other than there is a certain greeness about them both. It smells green mossy to me, akin to Fahrenheit's style.
Unfortunately, I haven't smelled Chez bond, but I'll check it next time I can, thanks.
Regards,
Renato

Kiton is similar in feel to Boucheron pour homme.

This was my cousins signature for a while and he solicited many compliments from it. Good fragrance, I wouldn't mind demoing it out again.

I've had my sample on for about 3.5 hours now. The scent doesn't seem to have changed much that I can see. But yeah, I'd love to hear from people that have smelled both Chez Bond and Kiton Men and get their opinions. I'll probably wear my sample of Kiton Black next week to get some feel for that one as well. My initial impressions of Kiton Black was that it was quite similar to the original Kiton, but with a light leather jacket.

But nowhere as good as Boucheron IMO.

Enjoyable fragrance, and I get that mossy feeling as well. I have no idea how it compares to said fragrances though.

What I got from Chez Bond was a flat Cool Water opening and a candy type of grape Love and Luck drydown.

Ok so I just sprayed Kiton Men on one arm, and Love and Luck on the other (at it was readily available).

To my amatuer nose, the Kiton seems to open quite sharp ala Coolwater. It's hard for me to compare to Chez Bond and GIT as I sampled these both on separate occassions a little while ago (need to get samples). Overall the smell itself does seem reminiscent of all of the them. I do feel it is approaching the sweet grape-like drydown of Chez, but it also seems quite soapy to me, but that maybe because I'm sniffing it directly..?

Love and Luck I tested as I plan on sampling Millesime Imperial soon and wanted to get an idea of the vibe. It is a pleasant smell and seems to be winning the sillage battle, though has a softer, fruitier feel. However there is a certain sourness to it, that reminds me how Allure Sport turns on my skin. I don't see too many similarities to Kiton Men though.

Will give these a bit more time. Back to the OP though, Kiton Men is over $100 in store in Australia, so the price discrepancy may be irrelevant if I can find GIT/Chez cheap on a split!
