First day back to work after a cold, dreary Easter break and suddenly the sun is shining, the sky is blue and happy little birds are twittering in the trees. Would you Adam and Eve it?

I think I'll wear Etro Dianthus today.
Good morning everyone A lovely, sunny day here as well. Off to the accomodation office at university to hand in the old keys today. Hopefully I will get the deposit soon! Sotd is Bois des iles. Hope you all have a great day and smooth start after the Easterholiday.

Good morning all !. What a difference a day makes - arrived yesterday in hideous conditions and looked out of the bedroom window this morning to find this scene. A few showers forecast but this will do nicely for the time being.

Off on a boat trip shortly (puffins, seals etc with any luck) then there is definitely a pint and a pasty with my name on it later.

SotD is 10 Corso Como EDP.

Happy Birthday actiasluna

Good Morning,

What a spectacular view, Jon! Wonderful stuff.
Happy Birthday actiasluna!

Giving a proper wearing to Eau de Patou today, from a sample courtesy of L. Without doubt, my favourite from the house.

Have a lovely Tuesday, gang.

Oh, that looks just gorgeous, Jon! Do enjoy your stay!
I'm still off duty myself, so a barbecue and the discounted champagne bottle I grabbed at the big C&C this morning are in place.
Sous le Vent for me today. Marvelous!
Have a great day all
PS: Spritz yourself away with the Eau de Patou and use that atomizer up, my friend G.! Glad you found a Patou you like.

Jon - beautiful photo! I somehow missed that you are traveling. Hope you are having a lovely time.

SOTD is L'Occitane Ambre. This is the solid from about ten years ago, and smells more vanillic/apple pie vs. the current juice which is more a true amber. Still very nice in its own right.

Wish you all a very good day.

Ooh, Jon that looks like fun!

I'm wearing JM White Lilac & Rhubarb and leaving in 5 minutes for the vet-- time for a yearly checkup for George the orange tabby cat.
Good Morning everyone, I was insanely busy yesterday so I couldn't post too much, but it is slow at my office now so here I am...
Jon - the view is amazing...enjoy and we will live vicariously through your photos and posts.
Larimar - Happy 3,000 and yes, I have iris cravings ever so often myself. Usually I head right for my No. 19 vintage EdC or maybe you should try the MPG, Iris Bleu Gris, since you are on a MPG love fest as of late, no? IBG is strange because when I spray it on I don't really smell iris until a few moments later when it blossoms out of thin air. Brilliant, but one that I really need to be in the mood, to wear.
Hugs to all that need them.
My receptionist has been out sick the past couple days, so work is a bit crazier. Therefore this morning I headed straight for my new bottle (I just got on eBay) of:

Lavender (vintage 1988 bottle) by Crabtree & Evelyn

Isn't the bottle adorable. It reminds me of those 'play colognes' that you used to see in Barbie doll sets, that I always wanted my Mother to buy me. It's a VERY good, linear, sharp lavender. I think the mint in the top notes has turned slightly, but the lavender is strong and true. I can see going through this bottle very quickly. Oh dear.
Happy Birthday to Mr. G & Actiasluna! And a belated very happy birthday to Arwen Elf!

Lovely photos today! Yes, Mike- that bottle is very like the bottles from those play sets of perfumes. I did have some, a set of maybe 6 different rose perfumes (an early and strong influence on my perfume tastes, in fact). My brother, who was a toddler at the time, snuck into my room and dumped out all the bottles on the hardwood floor. The perfumes ate the finish off the floor! It was the 70's; they gave us kids anything to play with back then!

Sampling VC&A Bois d'Iris. More bois than iris and rather sweet for me. That's good, I like finding iris scents I don't need!

Jon your view is stunning. Enjoy, enjoy.

Today I am privileged to try Tom Ford Private Collection Moss Breches. The opening is fabulous, cool in tone, and really quite old fashioned. It is lovely. I will tell you this though, it is not nearly as tenacious as most of the other TF's. Mind you, were it not for the cost, and the scarcity, I would want to drench myself in this.Thank You for giving me the opportunity to try this Haunani.

Happy Birthday to our celebrants today!!

^ But Jon, I eat like that every night. Doesn't everyone ?
Seriously though, what an amazing day: Puffins, seals, and Rhubarb & Apple for desert. Does life get any better ?

SotE is vintage Chanel Cuir de Russie (EdT).

Best to all!
Jon, what a great day with such pictures, such a menu, and smellies Have fun and enjoy yourself as much as possible! Please!

Happy Birthday, Luna and Mr. G!

I am in bed -- sick as a dog, got my husband's bug, but my sense of smell is intact. Am wearing Bakir extrait by Ava Luxe from a sample -- thanks, PerfumedLady! I really like this one. I said my aahs and oohs when I tried it yesterday, and giving it a full wear today. Like.
Jon, thank you for sharing the fabulous photos! It looks like a wonderful trip!

Birthday wishes for Actiasluna and Mr. G!

Hope you feel better soon, Warum. It seems like something is going around again, which seems so weird given the warm winter.

I'm wearing Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia today-- it's just so pretty!

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!
(((Warum))) Get better soon !
Jon - you're killing me with that menu .
Basenotes - you're killing me with the on- off thing. I just managed to get in with Tapatalk now so I guess we're 'on' again .

Scent of the afternoon - Fleurs d'Oranger.
Jon (sigh!)!! What a lovely get away! I love your puffins. That menu looks yummy, and I just came from a big Vietnamese lunch a while ago. I’m supposed to be dieting, but if presented with your menu this evening I would definitely have another go. Venison for me.

I couldn’t get on Basenotes earlier either, Mims. I did go for Insolence edt today, and no regrets about it at all. I love this fragrance lately. I’ll probably have another spritz for this evening.
Well Jon, since it seems there aren't any fresh puffin specialties on the menu, the choice is clear - scallops, then sea bass, then the pineapple and vanilla crème brûlée. Easy-peasy!

Your Vietnamese lunch sounds good too, lilybelle - yum! But speaking of dinner, we're having a crab boil on the beach in a little while, and Dad's got the blender going to get the party started, so this is waiting for me at the moment -

And I'm in Dune for the rest of the day. Y'all have a wonderful evening!

Warum - that sounds terrible! I hope you're feeling much better soon.

mike - I have those same Crabtree & Evelyn colognes in violet and lilac, but now I wish I would have gotten the lavender while they were still available. I love the sweet vintage-y labels, too!
Poor Warum! Feel better soon! Glad you like Bakir; I still ahh and ooh when I wear it. It's a unique one. Very green and oriental (possibly leaning chypre?) with loads of gorgeous florals, esp. that rose note. Deep and mysterious, to my nose.

Back to my citric cologne sampling mini spree in Atelier Trefle Pur. Happy and sparkly on a nice mossy base but the neroli goes a little hissy on me at times. That's this skin, though; overall a very nice scent.

Jon, your getaway looks and sounds wonderful! Glad you're enjoying it!
Happy Birthday Mr. G and Actiasluna!!! I have not seen Actiasluna here lately, miss her.

Gandhajala, you smell delicious. Eau de Patou is one of the loves of my life (perfume-wise).

Jon R, love that picture, I wished I was there

(((Warum)))

Thank you PerfumedLady!

Today I am wearing Idylle Duet (the one with more patch)
Mimi you have been wearing my favorite tuberose even though it is called Fleur D'oranger. That is the best presentation of white flowers anywhere bar none!

Everyone smells DIVINE!

I'm in AA Lilia Bella. Have a warm night all!
Reglisse Noire today. It is nearly, but not quite, time to put this away for the summer. Lovely and shining in the cold weather (well cold is a relative measurement, FL cold.) but not really good in the very hot time.
Jon, please enjoy your time. The menu is great with the exception of the desserts: while I see some of them compliment main courses quite nicely, the main ideology is totally absent: two icecreams, a fruit tart and a cheese platter? Cheese should be in its own category, while the fourth dessert is clearly missing. Again, what's in season: rhubarb and that's it? If I were to choose it would be: eggplant, salmon and NOTHING for rounding up the meal. Color me unsatisfied and soliciting own services.

Until today I had no idea what "puffins" were, I thought they were related to muffins, p'haps?

Lalique Perles is ma drouge with no visible side effects.

Ok, correction.

I said yesterday I almost liked Jessica Simpson's Fancy Nights more than Midnight Poison Elixir. I don't know WHAT the heck I was thinking, lol. As I just tested the FN again, and it's nowhere near the quality of course and much worse!...plus the Fancy has something in it that doesn't *really* doesn't agree with me. What the heck? Is it the papyrus?

I hope that Actiasluna and Mr. G had very happy birthdays in their part of the world...for me, it seems like the years go by faster and faster...is it that way for everyone?

Hermes Kelly Caleche EDT (again)

Tomorrow, I'll probably go with my favorite No. 19. It's shaping up to be a stressful day, so maybe I'll take Thursday off as a little treat to myself...we'll see...
I'm glad Jon is getting a decent bite offshore Don't be such a party-pooper, Wolfie Have some sour rhubarb and smile!
Poor Warum, get well soon!
I had a bit of a spill of Pois de Senteur last night, so I perfumed the whole house and I still smell bombastically of it - in my effort not to waste some jus.... hahaha!
