some Lapidus advice

Hi there guys,
I want to buy a small bottle of either Ted Lapidus Black Soul or Altamir, and I need your expert advice. Here's more information:
- I own Black Soul Imperial and like it
- I also own a sample of Black Soul original and like it too (by the way, I find it smells somewhat similar to Himalaya, which I already own)
- I have never sampled Altamir but I do like jasmine and orange blossom
- I don't like most 80s powerhouses and Kouros is the antithesis of what I'm looking for

Help me, pretty please?

I have both the original Black Soul and Altamir and the're both nice IMO. If you have the Imperial, I'd go with Altamir.

I recommend Altamir.

If you know and like Fleur Du Male, then I'd say there is a good chance you will enjoy Altamir.

If you want Altamir, send me a PM. I have a full bottle that for whatever reason, smells like mothballs to me. No one around me and no one on here seems to smell this accord, but I can't wear it. The Black Soul has hints of Altamir, but I like this one just fine. *shrugs*

I own Altamir - it reminds me of sort of a cross between Le Male and Silver Shadow.
I've smelled Black Soul, thought it was good, but not as good as Altamir.

Renato

You might still enjoy it, they're different enough. It has a lot of orange blossom though, and vanilla.

Something about FDM is very screechy and cloying IMO, whereas what I like about orange blossom is its finesse, for example in APOM Pour Homme...

Thanks Renato, if it is better than BS it will be definitely worth it.
