From nstperfume.com:

Giorgio Armani has launched limited edition summer 2012 versions of Emporio Armani Diamonds and Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men:

Armani Diamonds Summer for Women ~ Sparkle with the Emporio Armani Diamonds Summer Fraiche Eau de Toilette, a thrilling elixir for the warm days of summerInspired by the sparkling energy of summer, the voluptuous character of the original Diamonds is brightened with icy notes, including delicious green apple sorbet. A heart of peony envelops the fragrance with delicate sensuality, while an addictive drydown of amber warms the skin like the rays of the sun. In 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Armani Diamonds Summer for Men ~ Dive into freshness with the limited edition Emporio Armani Diamonds For Men Summer Fraiche Eau de Toilette, an awakening elixir for the warm days of summerInspired by the sparkling energy of summer, the musky sensuality of the original Diamonds fragrance is brightened with icy notes. The heart is composed of extremely fresh aquatic notes, evoking the sea breeze and the splashing of waves. An unexpected, addictive drydown of cocoa and cedarwood leaves a resoundingly masculine final impression. In 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

Both fragrances can be found now at Escentual in the UK.

Aquatic gourmand? Finally!

This has been for sale for a few weeks in the UK and I have been waiting for a review to pop up on basenotes. The price is reasonable, £25 for 75ml

Emporio Armani Diamonds Summer for Men 2012 eau de toilette spray is a refreshing and crisp scent, opening with top notes of mint and iced lemon, flowing into a heart of lush aquatic accords, all of which sits on top of a base of cedar wood.

OOOOOOO.. And intriguing sounding summer edition fragrance! The mentioning of the aquatic/cocoa combo really caught my attention.

I've never been interested in summer flankers, but this might be interesting. Will give it a try if possible.

I just don't get the summer flanker concept - why they're always big bottles? You're not gonna use the whole bottle during one summer unless you're gonna drown in this perfume. We all know that next summer another seasonal edition will be launched

Its really the aquatic and cocoa combo that made it a must try for me!

Can't wait to see the tone of this thread change dramatically. petruccijc?

Aquatic and gourmand. Two of my least favorite fragrance categories. But, I'd like to have the opportunity to sniff it to see if I like it anyway.

It is definitely worth a test. I like the original one so there is hope. So why does this description of the changes worry me? "the heart is composed of extremely fresh aquatic notes, evoking the sea breeze and the splashing of waves". Yes, finally some fresh aquatic notes . . . that will do it!

Impatient as I am I just bought it, but on Fragrantica it says released in 2010, picture is the same as above. Are there two summer editions and did I just buy the "old" one?

It was originally released in the UK back in 2010:

Quote:
Emporio Armani Diamond summer Pour Homme by Giorgio Armani was launched in 2010, this is a summer flanker for men to the original Armani Diamonds fragrance,it provides a thrilling Aromatic Aquatic experience, it opens with top notes of amalfi lemon and mint, the heart contains aquatic floral notes and the fragrances cools with woodsy notes and cacao

did anyone try this yet? I have some discount coupon on this one, but i am not very keen on blind buying it.

I've smelled it last week. It was quite nice as for a summer scent. There was definitely something aquatic and gourmand. I personally didn't like it because I dislike aquatic fragrances nor am I a fan of gourmand scents.
It was light I guess it wouldn't last long on a hot summer day.
