I'd say, if going scent-free on this occasion is NOT a must, I'd take the most discreet, smooth, unassuming of the four, in my opinion, a close competition between Aramis and La Nuit
post #6 of 38
I would not wear any of them and go fragrance free if I wanted to keep my job..... Wearing Aramis may get you demoted but La Nuit with its mad projection well I would fire you on the spot. And if I smelled Royal English Leather on you I would call the cops to arrest you for assaulting my nose.lol

So Bel Ami then?

Don't know the others but I'd say not Aramis. It's more a scent for meeting bears in the woods imo.

I'm a CEO. Wear Bel Ami.

Yes, it's safe. Smells like money.

...from your wardrobe I'd choose Héritage de Guerlain: masterpiece for a man with a sense of style, elegant, classy and mature. Wear it in modest proportions!

From your wardrobe I'd go with Chanel PM Concentree.

If you want to advance - dress like a boss, smell like a boss. So from your list, anything but La Nuit.

I agree with JC. If you want to go somewhere, act, dress and groom like you are already there.

I would skip Aramis because of its power (too easy to over-apply) and go with Bel Ami.

I would take into account the type of industry you work in, the purpose of the meeting, the type of lunch and setting, etc.

Wear Hugo Boss?? (#1)
Wear anything that makes you feel more confident but wear it discreetly. It's business lunch I assume?
I had a similar meeting first thing this AM and chose to wear CREED WINDSOR. Wasn't the CEO but my two bosses.

That would be the only Hugo Boss fragrance acceptable.

^^ I don't think Muscs Koublaï Khän is the best suggestion to be honest.

So which ex-basenoter are you then? The same one that has been DDOSing/hacking the site?
Nothing that they can detect outside of your personal zone but makes you feel confident.

I agree that Derby would have been perfect!

My thoughts, exactly,

You are having lunch and you don't want smells interfering with the flavors of the meal. Your boss may be offended if that is the case. Gourmands are out of the question for that reason, and so perfumes with strong sillage.
You need a light scent and preferably fresh.
Tuscan Soul by Ferragamo would be my first choice. Looking at your wardrobe I would have picked a light application of Pasha by Cartier, it is a classy scent that exhudes good taste, but remember, very light application.
