Mystery involving Bulgari Pour Homme - Help appreciated

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this mystery involving Bulgari pour Homme:
I've bought 3 bottles over the past 6 months, 2 of which do not at all match the descriptions given in the reviews (weak and tea-like) - instead they have a very dominant musk (a bit like White Musk from the Body Shop), which is why I bought it in the first place. The last bottle I bought (the 3rd one) fits your descriptions perfectly - and I sent it back complaining that it was watered down. However, since then, I've been trying to find another bottle that resembles the first two - but instead of the gorgeous musk, all I'm finding is the weak, teabaggy version.
I'm really confused - the bottles are identical. Am i going nuts?
By the way, it's not that the fragrance is altered by my own skin - the difference in fragrances is clear on a test-strip and even on the nozzles. Also, I discovered the Pour Homme after smelling it on a friend - and it was the heavy musk that caught my notice.
I really would like to find another bottle of the musky-version, as mine is running dry. Anyone had the same experience?

What was the time interval between the first two you bought and the last one which you sent back? Perhaps changes in the formula? Strange for sure.

I've tried the extreme, too, but that's definitely not it.
The time interval was less than 6 months from the first bottle to the last. I've searched the reviews on this site, and no-one has given a description of heavy musk, strong projection, long-lasting, so unlikely there's been a change in the formula at some point. Perhaps two versions?

Can you give us the code under the bottle?

My last one is from April 2011 and smells like it should.

That's a very useful link, thanks.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be the case, the calculator gives the following:
Date of manufacture:
12 of October, 2010
General shelf life: 36 months
*Valid at least for the next
18 months

I know two different boxes for this which might indicate a possible reformulation.

I know that the newest version has a smooth box with a silver circle.
I guess it was made to complement the design of the Extreme and the Soir flankers.

What were your boxes like?

My box is smooth with a silver circle - what was the previous box like?
Could it be possible that a fragrance can change so radically, without fanfare?

please post pictures

The previous box was of a rougher texture and the Extreme was similar when it came out.

The box design for both the Pour Homme and the Extreme changed after the Bulgari Pour Homme Soir was released and they were made to complement one another, and so do the bottle caps.
The inscription on the bottle of the Extreme also changed.

I wonder if there was a reformulation while the boxes were updated.

My box looks similar to the ones you have for the soir and extreme (smooth with the circle in the middle).
It would be truly astonishing if there was a reformulation, but if so how come there are not more people with the same complaint as mine?

I have the later boxes also.
Hopefully there has been no reformulation.

If only someone could confirm.

Apologies for bumping this post - I would really love a resolution....

Your experience with Bulgari pour Homme could not be related a reformulation.
I find that this one is quite temperamental on me. I have the second version and I remember times when I loved it and other times when I regretted that I had put it on. It might be related to finding the appropriate temperature and humidity for wearing it. Unfortunately I have kind of given up on this one.
