Simple, easy, elegant. these are the words I think of when i wear rive gauche. it has been a go to for me since this fall. It feels too heavy on me as the world warms up so im turning to my basenotes community for suggestions on what will achieve the same effect while being comfortable in the summer. For now I have Pasha Cartier but are there better fits? TY and
Please_ only answer if you've read the whole Q. thanks.

Try Infusion d'Homme by Prada, it's light, soapy and simply elegant. This one may fit the bill.

I'm wearing this today ^^^ (and I love Rive Gauche, usually wear it to work), and it is really great in warmer temperatures.

Wear one spray of RG to your chest. That should do it!

Azzaro PH

Tuscany. Has that Barbershop thing going on, but with a Mediterranean garden feel as well with the Lemon Grove top and the green florals of the Geranium in the middle. Smooth.

I've tried the one spray to the chest. its not the Power its the smell, I'm looking for same basic rive gauche structure with a Lasting lemon note.

I would suggest soapy citrus like Monsieur de Givenchy ( from La Collection Mythique) and Ho Hang by Balanciaga. I don't know however if both have the same structure as Rive Gauche pour Homme.

A summer replacement for Rive Gauche PH would be quite welcome. Many people wear Rive Gauche year round but for me it is a fall/winter-only scent.

In the summer I would maybe go with Givenchy Vetyver or Cereus 11.

If the color of RGPH was opaque brown-blue, GV would be opaque white-green, and C11 would be opaque white. While all of them share a certain dry and clean feel, the latter two are lighter and well suited for the summer.

Cereus 11 has a creamy woody center and a prominent anise note which bring it even closer to RGPH.

what about PDN New York?

Croatian summer must be very different from Florida's summer...

I find Ice Men somewhat similar to Rive Gauche and I suppose it is meant to be a summer scent. I'd say it's very casual though.

AdP Colonia is worth a try. old school, soft, cool and light.

Versace Black Jeans is the closest thing I've smelled to RG and can be easily worn in the summer.

Narciso Rodriguez for Him Musc Collection EDP

I would search for Rive Gauche Light Pour Homme. It shows up periodically on eBay.

If you cannot locate a bottle I would also highly recommend you try a sample of Wild Fern by Trumper.

i love the sound of that.. does it have similarities to pasha Cartier (minus the mint?) and i'm only 22, though i love rive gauche, could a young guy pull this one off too?

The answer to all your questions is: Héritage

+1000 on all the suggestions of Prada Infusion, I think that would work quite nicely in this scenario

Also Voyage d'Hermes may fit the bill, very light while maintaining sophistication and extremely wearable in the summer

You can try Lanvin L'Homme or the similar Alfred Sung Hei.

They're both minty summer fragrances that are somewhat Old School and not overtly aquatic or fresh.

>>> Ermenegildo Zegna Z Zegna Extreme <<<
