Modern Reserve.... Really??

So, I tried this after finding a tester bottle tucked away.. I can't believe how much I love it!! SOOO different from the liniment and pine Polo green.

Now, since I am green to this frag I just want to know what others think of it and if there is any worry about the limited 3,500 pieces running out anytime soon. I have an opportunity to buy it at a nice discount and am seriously considering it!

I like the original Polo better, but I think it's better than the reformulated versions of Polo. I don't know how limited it is, but I picked up a big bottle for less than $40 some months back. Don't wear it at all now because Montana Red covers all the bases that Reserve did, but I like it better.

I'm not a fan of the original Polo but I really like Modern Reserve. It has the same theme, but it's so smooth. It smells like strolling through a green forrest full of pine trees and happening along a campfire with the smokey smell lingering in the air. Projection is beast and longevity is excellent. It's very classy that they kept the bottle the same as the original with just "Modern Reserve" written under the pony. If you can buy it at a discount then go for it! I need to wear this one more often.
It's especially nice after a fresh haircut and straight razor shave. Makes me feel like a dapper gentleman.

There was something about it that came across as "synthetic" to me, and I also thought there was too much jasmine. I have vintage Polo too and I prefer it.

Like the classic but I am glad the did not tamper with the original but instead created the lighter version as Modern Reserve

Love it! I had no idea that so few bottles had been made.

I think the original is far superior.

It is a disgrace to the Polo Green name.

No questions about it!

The only Polo I'll wear is the original Polo.

Great scent. Ideal when you want to gather compliments from blokes in a work environment.

I prefer the original, but I dislike the original's base notes. Vs. Modern Reserve where I could take or leave the opening and middle, but I enjoy its base notes. Oh if only one could eliminate Polo's base, and replace it with Modern Reserve's.. then we would have a sure winner!

Own and enjoy both the original Polo and Modern Reserve.

I like Modern Reserve, but the original will always have a hold on my heart. Great and iconic scent.

I agree. I have had about three flings with Modern Reserve, but it never stays for long. Doesn't suit me. Original Polo was my staple signature scent from ages 16-19, until King Kouros came along!

I quite like Polo MR but somehow don;t find myself reaching for it very often.
I've not heard of it being limited and it seems to be widely available.

Go for it! I'm not sure how limited it was (something tells me that the 3.5k figure was related to the mega-size limited edition?), but I don't often see it in stores anymore....

True, but that's not saying very much IMO.
