Tonight, we celebrated the 2012 Canadian Fragrance Awards in Toronto and I am very proud to say that Basenotes and Marian Bendeth won Best Media Editorial Award for our interview with Thierry Wasser "The Shoe Fits"

I was very proud to have this story published on Basenotes and also incredibly honoured by the time, candor and revealing information Thierry Wasser shared with me.

I share this honour with both of them and Congratulate Grant on his 7th Editorial Awards (Jasmine and Canadian).
Basenotes does it again!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Mimi!! It is pretty rare that someone of that power can be so open and honestly? I think that is real reason why it won. I only found out about his working with third world countries and offering up irrigation pumps etc. quite by accident. He really puts the "H" in humble unlike some others who only brag.

It was a gem of an interview- very rare and it changed my perspective on Thierry Wasser . I love that he is humble . Humility and being humble - especially at his level - it is a rare gift to have.

Congratulations Marian! I just finished reading the interview and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fascinating fact about the Bulgarian Rose industry being sourced in Turkey during the Soviet years.
