Soooo I just blind bought a bottle of Chanel Allire Edition Blanche and found it to be very similar to my Dior Homme Sport (Original formation.) they. Oth start off very citrusy, heavy on the lemon. When they dry down though they go different directions. DHS gets sweeter and AEB gets a tad bit woodsier.

Idk if I should keep both or swap one. What do you guys think? Which one is better?

I like and have both, but perhaps like Chanel Allire Edition Blanche a bit more.

I wasn't super impressed with Allire EB the few times I've sampled it.

If I were you, I'd keep DHS and swap the Allire for Bleu de Chinel.

Monsieur Balmain or YSL Pour Homme (either Standard or Haute Concentration). Sorry to go off-topic, but both of these scent offer fantastic lemon notes. Balmain is more modern and fresh-squeezed with a nice composition in the drydown while YSL Pour Homme is a classic - strong lemon and lemon verbena that transcends into a great composition with vetiver as a key note in the base.

Both are excellent!

I didn't mean to hijack a thread, so I will say Chanel gets my vote between these two.

Cheers!

I don't find them similar, I much prefer Allire EB. I'd say get rid of the DHS.

DIOR Homme Sport is Far Superior.

+1 ...

I personally cannot recommend the purchase of either one of those fragrances.

Dior Homme Sport has, in my opinion, the extra edge, complexity and refinement

neither. both are on the boring to unpleasant end of the spectrum

i don't like much Dior Homme Sport so i would pick Edition Blanche.

Edition Blanche

I would get Chanel Allure Sport Cologne Sport, one of the best citrus lemon based colognes.

Love the creamy lemon effect of Edition Blanche. Glad, got a bottle before it has been discontinued in the physical counters.

I like both. I find that AEB is more refine than DHS, but for the hot summer DHS is much more refreshing.

Guess I'll just keep both.... At least until I get to try them both for a week straight during 80+ degree weather

Edition Blanche is the better choice in my opinion.

I vote for Dior Homme Sport, I've tried both and own a big bottle of DHS. I find it the better done fragrance (lasts and projects more too in my experience). Both are nice scents, but DHS does it right for me. Very versatile, very uplifting. Smells amazing even several hours after it's sprayed (that ginger just works so well in this fragrance).
I know though that Edition Blanche is a basenotes favorite so no doubt that will come out on top in the poll.

Like both but prefer DHS. The ginger sets the difference

I'd recommend testing Goutal's Eau D'Hadrien EDP, Creed's Selection Verte, Eau De Guerlain, or any of the other high quality lemon scents recommended in this thread:

I second this, however, if you insist on a Chanel for Lemon:

I own both but much prefer Edition Blanche- more of a refined smell and far superior longevity
post #24 of 28
Both dont really work on me but I think I would prefer the new Dior Homme Sports. The one with a little iris touch Maybe swap Allure for the new one? hahaha

I Love & own BoTH but I prefer Dior Homme Sport

Chanel Allure Edition Blanche

Ed. Banche.

DHS is the more unique and interesting of the two, with Blanche being the more versatile, but regardless of what anyone else says DHS is NOT a summer fragrance. Perhaps for spring or on a cool summer night, but on a hot summer day Blanche is going to play much better whereas DHS (for me) would be uncomfortable to wear
