I have $100 to spend, which one would you pick out of these 4?

Terre D' Hermes EDT

Terre D' Hermes EDP

Chanel Allure Edition Blanche

Midnight in Paris
You should pick the one you like best, not what we like best.
Obviously I agree with MikeNY, but since you asked... Terre d'Hermes EdT
post #4 of 49
TdH EDT
I would pick Edition Blanche out of those 4 because I would get the most use out of that one (realistically I would actually go with the original AHS as I find it superior to Edition Blanche).

It all depends though on what you already have in your collection and if you're looking for something that's versatile like Edition Blanche, something that's unique like TdH EdP/EdT or something for a special occasion like MiP. Could be any of those 4 depending on how you look at it
post #6 of 49
TdH edt, no hesitation.
I would get MiP EDP. BUT since summer is around the corner id go with TDH edt(my preference)
MiP is a must have for the colder weather imo!
Mmm, not the Blanche, I really think that smells like lemon cleaner like Pledge or something lol..any other will do!

But this is your taste, not mine..so get what you love the most!.

+1 for TdH EDT
Either Terre D' Hermes EDT or Terre D' Hermes EDP
post #11 of 49
From your list, I've only tried TdH EDT and TdH Parfum. My pick would be TdH Parfum. I own a bottle and I really like it. That and Pure Coffee are my favorite designer scents.

Terre D' Hermes EDP
TDH, which ever version you like best.
Out of those 4 I would pick Midnight in Paris.

MiP from an online discounter for cheap OR Edition Blanche

Every time I go on the site it has a a 20% off or a free shipping.

The codes are the same for everyone.

Also I notice they no longer have the Mip 4.2oz EdP for $58 anymore...glad I got it when they had it.

Well, frostyicy you're certainly picture perfect on this one!

If these scents were the last four women at the bar at closing time when the bright lights come on, I'd leave alone.

Midnight in Paris

TdH EDT. One of my favorite designer fragrances. MiP is too powdery, and not really versatile - love the bottle though. Really like Chanel EB, but doesn't last or project at all
post #26 of 49
Any of them except Chanel Allure Edition Blah

Terre

well in that case can you post the 20% coupon I dont see it, and I dont see it on their coupon list. I want to make a nice, big purchase and that 20% off would help a lot.
Without doubt if you were planning on spending $100 go with the option for 2 of them!

Lol sorry I blanked it out because I thought it was a special email code for me because it had redeem within 5 days or something. It is site wide tho.

Code: TP52C

Also remember when codes aren't available you can always still use the 15% "basenotes" code.

Good fragrance hunting.

...from the three I like Terre d'Hermès best, but if you want to have something more exclusive then go for the Van Cleef & Arpels...!

Midnight in Paris... the EDP version, not EDT.

I saw you like M7. Terre d'Hermes was also classy to me. I loved it. And as i love it´s orange peels more pronounced on EDT i say:

Terre d'Hermes EDT

I simply don't understand the praise that Terre d'Hermès receives here. It is an unequivocally good fragrance—indeed, it is much better than a vast majority of new releases but that means very little. It is a bit of a big fish in a small pond. When compared to other department store fragrances, Terre d'Hermès is a breath of fresh air; however, once you leave the department store, Terre d'Hermès doesn't seem quite so interesting.

Terre d'Hermès is a nice scent—something I would feel comfortable wearing to the office; it's safe, dependable, versatile, and it will absolutely not offend anyone and because of this I will never wear this fragrance. Where's the fun in wearing neutral colors and going completely unnoticed?

In any case, Midnight In Paris is a beautiful, interesting, unconventional fragrance. I would purchase it but I already own Black by Bulgari and I prefer the more in-your-face rubber note to the more subdued leathery facets of Midnight In Paris. And as others have already mentioned, go with the EDP (The EDT has more citrus on top and feels thinner throughout; I feel that the difference is noticeable beyond longevity).

TdH EDT...all day, everyday and all seasons

).

I'm going to disagree with you completely here. I've been here a few years but will admit that my tastes, collection and nose isn't close to what many people's here is. In fact I praise many designers that get bashed and do not love many niche offerings that are praised. But I also have favorites on both sides of the fence. TdH Edt is really what made this all worthwhile to me. I think its greatness lies in the fact that when I wear and smell it, it far outshines many designer offerings but has enough "differences" and quirks in it to make it niche enough for my tastes, even though its not niche. It is great for the office and for all year but that doesn't make it boring. To me it rides a perfect fence where it isn't too commercial and I know no one else that wears it. BUT it's accessible. Overall I find it to be a beauty that many appreciate. Makes me feel like a million bucks when I'm dressed and at work. Neutral to you, all world to me

you're lucky you live in the USA otherwise you wouldn't be able to have that budget
post #46 of 49
If it was me, at that price I'd want it to last and I'd buy the one that lasted longest on my skin after wrist testing. I mention this because TDH just doesn't last on my skin, which is why I never bought it.
Cheers,
Renato.

TdH!

Forget it. Imagine someone trying to be logical. Curses and drats! Next thing you know you'll probably be asked if you have smelled all 4 and can't make up your mind or if you're buying blind--

So ignore this and ignore the reviews, especially the one that states that MiP is like Dior Homme " Minus the lipstick smell."

Simply divide Benjamin Franklin (pictured on a $100 bill) by 4 (the sacred number of Hermes) and the answer will be the title of one of my favorite Woody Allen films: Midnight in Paris! --Trust in synchronicity

Cheers,

Mario
