Any Creed advice?

Hi guys,

I was thinking of perhaps buying some Creed? Any advice on what would suit me given my wardrobe?

Also I was looking at Caron PH and Azarro PH what are your thoughts on those?

I would sample Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, Original Vetiver and Aventus from Creed and see which one appeals to you the most.

With Caron PH you will have to like vanille and lavender to like this one.

Azzaro Ph is great fresh spicy musky fougere and is loved by many. You could also try out Rive Gauche which has that barbershop vibe.

Yeah, don't waste your money on Creed. /Thread

Just kidding. Buy Aventus. It smells great and lasts a long time. Pineapple, smokey leather, awesome. GIT is the gateway Creed that gets people into the door. It's universally appealing, but some people swear it smells like Cool Water. I think it smells good but I never reach for it. Millesime Imperial smells fantastic with it's melon/sea salt notes but has piss poor longevity. Don't buy Original Santal, Himalaya, Silver Mountain Water, or Original Vetiver b/c Mont Blanc Individual, Paco Robanne XS, Al Rehab Silver, and Mugler Cologne smell like them (in respective order) and are much cheaper. I guess what I'm saying is, Aventus is the only "mainstream" Creed that doesn't have a cheaper designer counterpart. Don't get me wrong, Creeds smell fantastic and their high quality ingredients are evident. But you'll drive yourself crazy trying to find a good batch b/c they aren't consistent. Go ahead and grab a sample of those and then try the counterparts I mentioned.

To make it easier for you:

GIT- Cool Water or Aspen
SMW- Al Rehav Silver
Himalaya- Paco Robanne XS
Original Santal- Mont Blanc Individual
Original Vetiver- Mugler Cologne

And I agree with Jack Hunter about the Rive Gauche PH. It's fantastic.

Thanks for the great advice^^ !

I agree with Rive Gauche PH, already sampled it a while ago and it smells great(although it will never be no.1 for me). But for some reason never bought it. But the next buying round will certainly include it. And possibly Azarro and Caron PH too since they're quite cheap over here.

I genuinely genuinely believe that if you get Cool Water or Aspen by Coty, you will barely be able to tell the difference between those and GIT (of the two, Aspen probably comes closer, it's funny how it's mentioned less often than cool water). Millesime Imperial is my favorite amongst the trio, I wouldn't be surprised if you felt the same way given your wardrobe. Aventus to me is alright, I've just never been that fond of it. You have good taste, so don't be deterred from trying Tabarome, Virgin Island Water, Windsor, Erolfa, pretty much all of the less-talked about Creeds. good luck!

My personal recommendations are:
Green Irish Tweed--a great starter
Aventus--my personal favorite!

But based on your wardrobe, I will have to say:
+1 Bois du Portugal
+1 Baie de Genievre
Original Cologne
The Royals--Royal Water, Royal English Leather, Royal Scottish Lavender, Royal Delight, etc.
Tabarome Millesime

Sorry I didn't know there was one :$

Is there any reason in particular you wish to buy Creed? I wouldn't buy Creed for the sake of buying Creed, buy it because you tried one of their fragrances and you think it's a worthy addition to your wardrobe, not based on name/reputation alone.

That being said, as others have said I will echo Aventus, GIT or MI would be the best first purchases from the house as all are very versatile fragrances that can be worn with anything to any occasion

Sample, sample, sample. That said, which samples to choose? My favourites are Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, Himalaya, Green Valley, Silver Mountain Water, Virgin Island Water, Bois du Portugal, Baie de Genièvre and Aventus (in no particular order).

No I was just curious that's all. I've just bought a nice amount of new clothes so any perfume will have to wait a bit :P

Perfumania has it for much cheaper. It's the older batch though back when it came in a different bottle.

MI and GIT are safest. I would recommend you venture and try creed royal oud.
