Nobody talks abour Pure Shot!

Is really that bad?
Yes. It's horrible.

Stay far, far away...
It's not that its a bad scent BUT to mugler pure line its by far Thee worst. I would say this is a opinion but most probably believe its a fact. Now the scent has some mint scent to start but its aimed to be used for the spring and summer so it doesn't have that heavy sweet scent like the others do. You will notice the patchouli thought so if you are a fan of that then its for you.
It's not horrible, but it isn't really anything appealing at all. Upon sniffing it, my first and last reaction were, "who cares?"
Its nothong special or unique IMO. Simply put, a bad release.
It's not bad, just nothing special. Still better than B*Men, though.
I have no complaints with it. Not heir best, but a nice scent just the same.
Mugler is probably my favorite house. I own full bottles of A*Men, Pure Coffee, Malt, and Havane. Mugler Cologne is my favorite fragrance of all time.

Having said that, Pure Shot sucks balls.
The longevity is absolutely horrendous. 4 hours at max. If the longevity were better I'd like this fragrance more. The smell itself is decent. It's got a nice fresh vibe but it also smells like chemicals used to clean stuff. The bottle looks cool I guess.
I think it's pretty good.
Pure Shot is like road kill most people will avoid, but instead of feeling sorry for the animal that died we feel sorry for the person that hit it or in this case someone who bought a bottle.
Reductive, reductive and reductive!
I think everyone's being too nice lol. I was actually a little repulsed by this. I thought Amen and it's flankers were all about complex gourmands that utilize a shocking combination of notes to produce something sweet, a surprising gourmand overload. This was just bizarre. I could not make a note break down, but it was just so strange. Blech!
I really liked drydown (kinda like TdH spices + oranges + vetiver) but top notes were one of worst that I ever smelled. I dont think its bad juice but has nothing common with other "Pure" flankers.

LOL! And answering the OP's question: it's baaad! But still better than others.

It is pretty bad but not as bad as the Sunessence that I blind bought.
That one is horrible.

LOve the way you put it haha!
I was actually surprised at how bad it was when I got it. It's surprisingly bad. Even for a boring scent it's bad. Even if it's the scent you go to when nothing else stands out it's bad. It's about the most meh a fragrance can get. Don't waste your time. Moral of the story: it's a bad release and they should have known better.
i also found it disappointing as a mugler release

Sounds ridiculous, ahaha.

I will buy a bottle anyway.

Is it better than Ice Men?

Just sampled it again. I actually find these to smell quite close ! I am surprised not many others have mentioned this ( although I am sure others have).

Either way, not liking this one bit. I still have regrets of not buying Pure Malt and Pure Havane when I had the chance. Ah-well.
I was disappointed with Pure Shot. Not Thierry Mugler's best work. I get a lot of Mugler Cologne in Pure Shot. Not what I'm looking for.

lol

Great analogy.

Last month I went to Nordstroms and I sprayed on exactly two fragrances: Pure Shot on my left wrist, and Chanel Allure Pour Homme Sport Extreme-- and an hour later, I started getting the worst sinus allergies. I don't know if it was related to either of these fragrances or maybe just something in the air, but it lasted for several days and I don't think either one of these scents is something I'll be buying.

I wasn't really impressed with the aroma of Pure Shot either.

I received my bottle today.
Refreshing patchouli shampoo.
I like it but it doesnt deserves the name Angel Men, nor even the Pure after the name.
A Calvin Klein would be a better brand to launch this.
I think it's decent, but weak. Lacks longevity and projection. For those reasons I will pass.

Wow. Two of the worst fragrances ever created. Glad to see you were able to survive relatively unscathed. I think I would be quite traumatized by the 2 of those together.
I thought it was okay, but agree with those that say it doesn't deserve to be part of the "Pure" line. Certainly not worth the $85 asking price from Mugler.
I got a sample of it with my PM purchase. Not bad at all. It's definitely nowhere near as complex and interesting as the other TM fragrances.

Why do I think Pure Shot is receiving so much hatred?
1. Not complex like Pure Malt, Havane, A*Men, Coffee.
2. Like point one, too "usual"
3. Price tag is too high. Drop it to $45 for a 3.3oz, and I'll purchase a flask. Heck, may even make it my signature scent for awhile.

Agreed. Surprised it's not on Fragrancenet by now. A*Men TOF was on Fragrancenet about 6 months after its release; and I think TOF is a far better scent. I think we're past the 6 month mark with Pure Shot and it's still not listed on the site.

Wouldn't mind adding it to my collection for $45.
Funny is that few weeks after Pure Shot was released I've seen it online for like 42 euros. Then it disappeared and appeared again for 60 euros. I may buy bottle if it goes back to 40 but still I think that there are much better fragrances even in <40 range.
nuff said....
Not bad at all, actually, just in almost any fragrance shop I went, it is being pushed by SA's almost obstinately into being sold at almost any cost, at the detriment of almost any other fragrance.
I like the scent, but it doesn't last at all! What can you do, not everything can be a knockout.
It's let down the "pure" line / limited editions. Has more of a icemen styling. bleh.
pure shot is decent (better than a*men original and pure havane), but I wouldn't buy it.

the only mugler fragrance that is worthwhile in my opinion is pure malt.
Tried Pure Shot for the first time a few weeks ago, and unlike others I did get the A*Men/Pure Malt DNA. May have been the patchouli, at any rate I liked it better than the Pure Malts that I had and sold, when it goes on the discounters, I'll score a bottle.

Im wearing this today for the first time and it vaguely reminds me Aventus. Drier, less smoky and fruity.

Ive only tried a bad batch of aventus.
Unless the next one is called pure vanilla chocolate Carmel heaven.....then I will try before I buy. This one should have been called something else.

Pure toothpaste.
It´s a good stuFF for ME. Good scent, longevity around 4 hours & projection is average
