Ineke, some of the finest I have smelled, seriously talented perfumer!

Ineke..if you haven't tried this line..I would say..you are missing out. This perfumer has serious talent and these are some of the finest scents I have sampled. I have only sampled 4 out of 7 scents but the ones I have tried are truly divine. After My Own Heart and An Evening Edged In Gold are the spotlights so far in this collection for me. After My Own Heart is simply one of the best lilacs I have smelled. The Gold, a lovely, sweet saffron with a bit of spice, Balmy Days and Sundays, a delightful, almost romantic, grassy green scent. Chemical Bonding, an orange-y citrus with lovely florals coming through a bit later. Chemical Bonding has been my least favorite(but still wouldn't mind a bottle of it)..just the opening reminded me slightly of an orange cleaner but the florals afterward were so lovely. I am sure many of you have tried this line but I am rediscovering this..and rediscovering indeed! Really talented perfumer. Simply wonderful stuff. Bravo.

Oh and edit here..the packaging was also very lovely, classy, and divine.

The packaging is nice indeed. I tried 4 or 5, too and the only one that stood out for me was Field Notes from Paris - nice story, image and execution, but ultimately too synthetic, tonka-overloaded and a tad too sweet for my taste.

kalli,

Ineke also has a "Floral Curiosities" line that is sold only at Anthropologie.

There are 4 fragrances. Here is the page, but you have to click to view the other 3:

@ 30 Roses: Oh yes, I forgot about those! I want to try the jasmine one. Now, if I could just get some samples of these...I don't see samples of these available online?

@ Larimar, I am sampling Field Notes today..yes, pretty sweet..actually this really reminds me of a bit less spicier version of Spicebomb..but the sweetness, spice and notes wear very similar on me. I want to say there is cinnamon in FNFP as a result of that..but maybe it's just the blending of the notes. Both have bergamot, are spicy sweet and have very noticeable tobacco and leather notes. Actually, I would say if one likes Spicebomb and the specific sweetness of Spicebomb..you really may want to check out Field Notes From Paris.

Also sampled Gilded Lily, that one for me opened very masculine to my nose aside from the sweet, pineappley notes. The opening reminded me of almost a vintage masculine scent..by vintage I mean like 70's men's scents..specifically though, I did think of the mossy Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur. The masculinity lightened up after a bit and I was able to smell more of the lovely flowers. This one and Field Notes would be too masculine for my taste but I do appreciate the notes. Also, I sampled Derring-Do, very fresh, aquatic scent. I think this can be worn by female or male. Overall, still impressed. I think my fave two are the Gold and After My Own Heart. I could really see those in my collection.

well, I understand the feeling. I've tried a couple of lines where I was suddenly just really impressed. Ineke didn't really do it for me, but (seriously), good for you!

What fun Kalli!
She (Ineke) is a sweetie too. The folks at last year's spring SF sniff got to meet her. She passed around some of her raw materials, and spoke of her training in Paris, and her inspiration deriveed from CA native plants. The Anthropolgie line wasn't out yet.

Derring Do hasn't been mentioned. That's another good one. oops Yes it has.

@ Knit :

Thanks. I guess I got pretty enthused when I smelled After and Gold, haha, but they really did it for me! Ya, I guess there is another sniff thing going on in July it looks like..and I think Ineke and SSS are part of the sniff, something like that.

Hi Kalli!

I actually randomly found her just now because I googled niche perfumes in Amsterdam, and then started looking for reviews... What a coincidence to find a review from you!

You've def sealed the deal for me, and I am so clicking that "buy" button to sample

EDIT: Nooooooooo! They do not ship to Europe *desperately looks for Dutch webshops carrying the sample pack*

EDIT: Found a webstore but for 15$ more... Oh well. So I won't eat for a day... :P

kalli,

Anthropologie has testers. You can use the store locator on their website to see if there's one near you.
