Today is a medical day, for me and my mother. So, I am thinking Chanel 5 today--a bit of vintage extrait on pulse points followed up with a splash of vintage cologne and a spritz of edt. My skins soaks up 5, so the edt goes on my linen shirt sleeves so it may last more than a few minutes.

Have a great first day of the week!

Hello everyone!

I'm in Caron Pour Une Femme this morning for dance class. Y'all have a great day!

Thanks everyone for the shout-outs about Jazz Fest - it really is as great as it sounds, especially for live music lovers ....as long as you don't mind huge crowds, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger; it's a completely different experience than it was twenty years ago. A wonderful time was had by all, but we're really appreciating the peaceful calm after the storm, lol!

Coco Mademoiselle EDP again this morning . Have a good day everyone.

Hello all,
I've been enveloped in the most exquisite aroma bubble all day long - Vol de Nuit, current extrait.
I also went test-sniffing the four fragrances of Wienerblut, a new Vienna-based niche house. I intend to start a new thread when time and BN permit.
Best to all

Lucasai! So glad to see you here this morning, welcome! Stick around, I think you'll like it here!

Glad you've had a good time, E! Time to kick off those party shoes and catch your breath now!

Sampling TDC Jasmin de Nuit today. Something is reading as lily (or maybe it's actually in here) to my nose and giving me a headache. Going to try to stick it out, though; love the spices.

Thanks PerfumedLady! Almost forgot that it's morning there in the US. Here in Poland it's almost 8 in the evening now. There are so many time zones between us...

Today I'm wearing Fils de Dieu (etc.) by ELdO. I'm going to split a bottle of this with a friend; I hope she can get it before my sample runs out.

Eau des Iles, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier... the question is should I or should I not get my special 'leathery' rum out? Decisions, decisions...
Good evening everyone.

Today was harmonious perfume-wise.

I started out with a craving for 34 Blvd St Germain , thoroughly enjoyed it. Underrated gem IMO.
Then in the evening I showered and wore Tam Dao. I say harmonious because it was one of those days where 'just anything' wouldn't do.

Larimar, you know it's the most sensible thing to do ^_^

Best to everyone.

SOTD: APOM pour Homme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Scentless this morning, followed by another testing session as I went shopping for utilitarian homeware and needed something to get me through.

On my left hand EL Bronze Goddess Soleil, left wrist No19 Poudre, left arm Aqua Allegoria Lys Soleil. The Bronze Goddess Soleil and Lys Soleil are really similar! On my right hand No5 Eau Premiere and right wrist Coco Madamoiselle to explore the genre further sniffing the definitive fruity floral.

So basically I smell like a holidaying tart's boudoir ;D

Thanks for asking gandhajala. I'm taking a class to "retool my professional skills to re-enter the work force". I really need to get a paying job, everything I do is volunteer. That's great but my husband would be happier if I brought home some cash. (So would I.)

"Simple Home Repairs" If I can fix it myself, I can save some money (to buy more perfume).
and
"Henna 101: The Natural Art of Henna" My daughter and I love to get henna tattoos in the summer. Now I can learn how to do them myself.

Sofie (she's my 14 year old) made up a game when she characterized people through mundane objects. For example, If I were a bird, she says I would be a toucan. If I were a tree I would be an oak. If I were a cat, I would be Turkish Van. Her latest was, if I were a fungus, I would be a mushroom.

There was a class on "Common Mushrooms of Missouri" and I wanted to take it just to tease Sofie. Unfortunately, I had a scheduling conflict. No mushrooms for me.

By chance, I joined the iris lovers convention here today and had already applied Hermes Hiris before reading this mornings iris musings. And a picture too! Thanks RHM!
Sounds great, RHM. I keep thinking I should take a DIY course.
Maybe The Common Mushrooms of Missouri will run again next year ( I'd be down for that course, too).
Good luck with finding paid employment and have fun at College !

Quick post from work as when I log in from home the reply box is grayed out for some reason...Not sure what is going on, it's IE on both 'puters, and I'm logged in and all, checked settings; will mess with it somemore or download firefox and try that I guess.

Anyhoo,
Today the wonderful Mure et Musc Extreme (AND - I am going to have to recharacterize this! To my nose, office friendly, kindergarten teacher, not oversexy, safe, gorgeous but not, well, hot. But it has become my LTP's absolute favorite, he finds it sexy; and I got a lovely and decidedly inappropriate compliment on it from someone else - a sniff, then a closer sniff and a "WHAT IS THAT? You shouldn't wear that, it's dangerous, oh my god you smell sexy." So maybe it smells different to guys? Because I've never had any smell have this effect on people, it's not me AFAIK)

Yesterday Neil Morris Storm

Saturday Mure et Musc Extreme

Friday Neil Morris City Rain

Have a great day, everyone!

Hey y'all -

I'm in vintage-70s Calvin Klein for the afternoon.

Wolfie - lol! Okay, I won't ask ...but actually, since you mention it, there was plenty of live musc in the air along with the music!

Purplelips Sensual by Dali again for me. Nice cinnamony scent with a terrible name- I keep imagining a kid eating a grape popsicle in a salacious manner. Banish the thought.

Hello, Familiars. Gleeful vibes to you.

Just dabbed on some sweet Sabi.

This year the strawberries are growing in a raised bed, and, while reaching over to pull a weed, I smelled the strawberry blossoms for the first time -- so lovely and simple, like apple blossoms.
Strawberry blossom sounds lovely, Quarry.

I’m sampling Attar Bazaar’s Egyptian Musk. I can barely smell it – another musk I can’t detect so I sprayed a little Toujours Moi over it. I just discovered Toujours Moi. Actually someone whose taste seems to coincide with mine mentioned it, so I bought a little bottle, lemming that I am. I love it. It’s sort of a cross between Habanita and Tabu, but lighter. Love, love, love.

Hi everyone. I am a bit late but I was wearing my lucky charm to take Final Exam today: Jasmin de Nuit.
Quarry - I love your new Miss Piggy extreme sport avatar.
Whitefluffy- welcome to Basenotes and good luck with your final exam .
I added Diorissimo EDT to Frangipani extrait- not a bad combination. Not too fond of Diorissimo EDP - why put tuberose into it, Mr . Demachy ? I don't understand it.

Good afternoon/evening! SotD was Aimez Moi-- reminds me of violets crystallized in vanilla sugar and satisfied the violet craving from Lilybelle's yummy sounding perfume oil the other day. And it was perfect for shopping and errands!

Take care, all!

Oh, and Mimi, your new avatar looks amazing too!
