Good morning,

I'm still sipping from that rum (and passing the water to my friend, G. ... I mean what are friends for? I take good care of your daily intake of liquids! ), so it's still the Eau des Iles, MPG.

Wearing Sartorial today.



Today's selection wasn't as harmonious as yesterday. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for so I grabbed Sartorial from my "in case of emergency - break glass" section.

If anyone's interested the collection concludes: French Lover - 34 Blvd Saint Germain - Sartorial - Bois d'Iris (TDC) - CDG 2 - Hasu No Hana.

Today I am in a favorite for hot days. Kiehl's Forest Rain. (Sadly discontinued) it's completely Synthetic, but something does it for me. Maybe the ambrox overdose.

Sampling Lutens' Eau Froide. I don't like the butch citrus opening, but once the incense fights it way through it's much more to my taste. For some reason it reminds me of spring days spent down by the river, smoking cigarettes and cooling my feet in the water. Watermint and Camel Lights.

Can't say I like the aroma though - sickly, cloying, and thoroughly nauseating for me.

I am wearing a sample of Chanel 31 Rue Cambon for the first time ever. Such an elegant beauty, and the dry down is ambery, sweet, patchouli so I should love it, but I feel a bit reserved about it. I am not feeling the need to spend $200 on this and I much prefer Coromandel.
