There are winter scents, fall scents and summer scents. For example-I cannot wear say...Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male or Burberry London in 110 degree Fahrenheit. It can be cloying and does not suit the weather.
I just want to know the best scent to wear all year round. The male scent which is very versatile & a safe blind buy.Searching for the perfect all rounder among designer houses.Any suggestions????

If you like vetiver, try "Chopard Noble vetiver"

For me any scent I own is a potential all weather scent.

This question has come up so many times on this board already, and always ends up being a fight to the death between Terre d'Hermes, Green Irish Tweed, and Aventus.

I should have agreed with you Hednic but then it is really difficult to pull of some heavy stuff in 105-110 degree F weather with 80-90% humidity.

YSL L'homme is probably the most versatile fragrance I know. Both in terms of weather and occassion.
From my personal experience in the 'sub tropical' climate of New Orleans, Aramis and Yatagan are the best and most versatile all weather scents.

GIT TdH or YSL L'Homme
Like what everyone else said, TDH is awesome from experience. Others that I own which as great as well are Bleu de Chanel, Sycomore, Encre Noire and most Creeds to be honest.

I think that (provided you enjoy it) Tom Ford Extreme would be a strong entry here.

Try:

Vetiver Eau Glacee/Vetiver Frozen by Guerlain
- Albeit this flanker of the original Vetiver by Guerlain keeps the vetiver essence as its focus, it is decidedly cooler than the original with the warmer aspects of the original excised and replaced with "cooling agents", so to speak.
One is initially treated to a minty, citric accord. A pronounced lime combines with orange and bergamot, resulting in a heightened tangy and bittersweet marriage, which is nicely tempered by a herbal mint. A faintly nutty vetiver serves as an undercurrent to this somewhat bracing and green concoction, and flows to the waiting middle. Here, in the heart, the citrus fades, allowing the mint to commingle with a woody and lively pepper as well as a smattering of cinnamon-like nutmeg. A sweetly floral and orangey neroli, with an ephemeral, metallic something, bathes the herbal brew. A muted earthiness and greenness from the vetiver serves as a backdrop. Transitioning to the base, the vetiver comes into its own, highlighting its steamed rice and grassy aura. Tonka bean, with its sweetly vanillic and slightly almondy facets, interplays with the green vetiver. A refreshing drydown ensues. This somewhat refined and fresh scent has good projection and longevity. A masculine, all-season composition, it will, indeed, shine in the warmer weather. This fragrance has a particularly attractive price point for its caliber.

&

cK One Shock for Him by Calvin Klein - One is initially treated to a mildly fresh accord. Clementine, with its sweet orangey and faint floral facets, lavender with its clean, herbal character, as well as cucumber, with its medicinal, sea-like aspect, all commingle in a brisk concoction. A cloud of something, perhaps aldehydes or the cryptic, energy drink accent, imparts an effervescence to the invigorating blend. Transitioning to the heart, a field day with herbs is had. Leafy, black basil, with its licorice accent, vivacious and woody black pepper as well as mildly spicy and sweet cardamom encase the opening. A nascent tobacco serves as a backdrop to the herbal jubilation. Segueing to the base, the rich and spicy tabacco has come into full bloom, while an earthy mustiness of patchouli flitters about. A pleasant ambrene wood infuses its laurel-like, sweet and spicy, woody overtures. And, a casheran musk imparts its velvety, somewhat floral bouquet. An enjoyable drydown ensues. This versatile composition is an all-season scent with average projection and average longevity, 6-8 hours. Its favorable price point makes this fragrance even more welcomed.

The original Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme with the silver sticker

My favorites as of today would have to be Dior Vetiver and Creed Silver Mountain Water.
Prada Pour Homme / Amber
Green Irish Tweed.
Silver Mountain Water (IMO)
Many others...

Whatever you like, I say these options above, yet I will wear Le Male in pretty much any weather and not feel uncomfortable.

Aventus
TdH

Fahrenheit . 3-4 sprays in cold weather , 2 sprays in hot weather .
This really depends on climate more than season or weather. Around here Terre d'Hermes is a great all-weather scent but we never get that heavy, super hot, humid weather. Most of the vetivers should work anywhere, any time though. Another light scent for tropical climates might be Eau de Iceberg. GIT and its cousins would work in most cases but I think it might get cloying it very thick weather without any breeze.

Le Male can be worn all year long (current version is not crazy projecting but it will last a lot)....even in hot days, one spray will be just fine
Midnight in Paris although it sounds like it's only suitable for a romantic date or something or night events, I think smells fine and is just right on that balance where I can wear it under any weather, any time
