What is your most used fragrance?

Hello folks!

Ok, I had a revelation the other day, realized that my "most used fragrance" isn't, if someone asked me, my "favorite" fragrance, probably wouldn't be even in a conscious top-three ranking of everything I own. My most used fragrance? Ed Hardy Man...I know what you're thinking, but it's by far the safest thing I own that I enjoy the scent of, in fact, I had to by another 100mL since my current bottle is almost empty.

So how about it, what is your most used fragrance? Is it different than what you would describe as your "favorite" fragrance? If they're not the same, are you surprised? I know I was

I went through a year almost where I would wear Armani Mania several times a week to work and although I've never finished a bottle of cologne, that's the one I've come the closest to finishing. As a result of my overuse of it for those several months, this is one I hardly wear anymore even though I'm currently debating getting another bottle

Not surprising if you feel like your favorite fragrance is too loud to wear to work, for example.

According to my BN wardrobe, I've worn Coromandel the most. That sounds about right. I can't say it's my absolute favorite, but it's definitely in the top 5.

Same here... My most used fragrance is not my favourite fragrance and it is ... Acqua Di Gio. Whenever I want just smell nice I use ADG. However this year (and especially in summer) Timbuktu will get a lot of wearing because to my nose it is as much versatile as ADG and I like it better (so far..).

BTW according to wardrobe feature this are my most used fragrances right now:

1. Acqua Di Gio - 87 wears
2. Rochas Man - 70
3. Gucci PH II - 68

My "most used" fragrance is vintage Givenchy Gentleman. This would appear to support my strong affection for this scent. It's my standby for those indecisive days.

Rive Gauche is my most worn outside the house. It's not my favorite scent, but is so versatile I'm comfortable wearing it in any situation.

I also tend to wear Bang, Halston 1-12 and Animale Animale when lounging at home frequently. While I wear them out as part of my normal rotation, these get a lot of use at home, and are consequently amongst my most worn scents.

Creed Original Vetiver is my default fragrance but depending on my mood or a new aquisition I'm wanting to road test, I might not wear it for a week. Then again I could wear it 4x in a week. It is great to have lots of worthwhile choices.

My "most used" fragrance is 'Timbuktu'. It is really polite and so easy to wear.

Vetiver is my favorite note and my 2nd most used one is Sycomore.

My most used is always the current bottle that I'm looking to kill. So I guess- Abercrombie Fierce, Bulgari BLV is a maybe but I doubt it, Happy for Men, Armani Code, Allure Homme Edition Blanche, Light Blue.

I agree, my "most used" is not my "favourite" fragrance although it is in my top 5!

My most used is Creed Green Irish Tweed - it often jumps the queue when I'm looking for a daytime clean and crisp fragrance for the office.

CPUH. I technically can't wear fragrances at work, but I wear 3-4 sprays of that daily alongside unscented deodorant. I justify it as smelling nicer and having less projection than any old spice stick I have.

I use Agua Lavanda, Eau de Cologne Imperiale and Eau du Coq almost every day. I consider them hygiene products rather than true fragrances.

In terms of 'real' compositions, at the moment it is Monsieur de Givenchy, but these things do go through phases and cycles.

Have been wearing Prada Infusion d'Homme a lot recently, but it's not necessarily my favorite. Really enjoy Dior Homme, but it's not something I'd wear every day.

Around mid-december I started keeping track of what I was wearing. It's funny to see the difference between what I thought was getting a lot of wears match up to what was actually getting wears; two very different things. Anyway, to answer the question, it seems Amouage Memoir, Spicebomb and Dior Homme (in that order) have been seeing the most action since I started keeping score.

+3 for YSL L'Homme

This is the only fragrance I have ever went thru 2 3.4oz full bottles of. It is when my collection was maybe 3 or 4 fragrances.

Now that I have 20+ fragrances I recently purchased a 1.3oz of YSL L'Homme and I rotate frequently.

Hi all,

Ahhh, timely thread. I was just thinking along the same lines of the OP's question. Sadly, I no longer have my NICHE collection (all gone). My favorites were SNM Acqua di Cuba, Creed Tabarome Millesime, L'Artisian DZING!, MPG Eau des Iles, LV Piper Nigrum, and my others. That being said, I found a 3/4 full bottle of GENTLEMAN at a Thrift store about a year or so ago and I went through that bottle in record time! So, I have to say, GENTLEMAN. GENTLEMAN is a LOVELY fragrance in my book and I'll be looking to purchase another bottle in short order. Also, KOUROS BODY was my MOST used fragrance for Summer. Ooops, I forgot to add, I also went thought my bottle of HERITAGE nearly as quickly as GENTLEMAN.
